Party Hardy Friday!

The Friday before Christmas break is declared..."eat lots of sugar and have the most fun you can day"!

After the SND party we stopped by Isa's class for her Cocoa House. They eat sweets, enjoy hot cocoa and read their poetry they've written. I loved listening. They are amazing kids. I am always impressed at how every kid in my kids' classes can stand up with confidence and just be themselves. Even at Isa's age they are so confident reading and sharing something very personal they've written.

Sweets, shocker right?

Isa, Karina and Sam listening to poetry. She really does love me! She thought I was recording their conversations, would I do that? Bwahahah!

SND (Nana's class) had their annual Beach Party. Last year, we were newbies to the school. I couldn't possibly think that 3 intelligent teachers would want a bunch of kids running around in their bathing suits in the classroom and getting hyped up on sugar. WHY would they do that to themselves? This day is like their Christmas present to the kids. They love these kids and enjoy doing this party for them.

I was wrong in soooo many ways. Last year, I came in to visit and had never seen such a happy girl!! I love her teachers for so many reasons but my child's happiness in her learning enviroment is the #1 reason I love them.

This year, I volunteered to set up...and what a fun process. They have thought this out so thoroughly. The most organized crazy day I've ever seen.

The food...they keep them full and balanced with fruits, veggies, candy and salty treats!

They had us fill the pool with HOT water and the kids really get in it! They have the best time then they lay out on their beach towels and snack away.

It was my carpool day and I invited my carpoolers to hang at the party. I knew it would be an afternoon of solid f-u-n! I made them eat lunch before I sugared them up and send them home. Hahhaha!

Kindergarteners got to taste all the sweets to ensure it was quality food we're giving out for SND.

I let them face paint...it was "paint your own face" station...I like how Madi went right for the middle of her face!

Guess it could be worse? She coulda looked like Dev! Kaden painted his arm - he said his Mommy probably wouldn't want him to do paint his face. Hmmm, why don't my kids ever think about things like that? Hahahah!

Good job, Pay!!

In all honesty the kids had the best time and they were plenty tired by the end of the day.
