Double Soccer Weekend!

Usually, we have just Isa's game on Sundays and Nana + Dev's on Saturday. This weekend was super soccer weekend because we had Nana's game on Sunday too. She played double the soccer!

Saturday, Dev had his FIRST game of the season. Exciting!

I asked Husband how he felt as a younger sibling going to his big brother's games. I know as an older sister, I liked basketball but hated sitting through t-ball games. Husband said he loved going to his brother's games because he knew he would get play with the all the little siblings. Which is totally our life, our closest friends have kids that are best friends with majority of our kids at least 2 if not 3. But, I see Madi getting to age where she needs something that's just for "her". Although she loves being adored by older siblings and parents at soccer games...I feel like she is at the point where she needs to feel the pride her brother and sisters do when they are in sports/school.

We have so much support for a U4 team (and adore the parents that want to join us) that Madi will start playing next spring. Husband will still head coach (so we don't have game conflicts) but will be heavily supported by two parents who are so reliable. So, look for her Spring 2011!
I haven't found any preschools that are a perfect fit yet. Still on the hunt. And, our favorite classes are full this fall. I didn't realize she'd be sooo ready, probably because I'm not ready. Not ready to see her flee away from me so fast! Her and Nana have that in common, they were both sooo ready while I was...not ready.

Her and Nana's bestie, Nat's sister - Becca played in the dirt right by the soccer field. Shoes off. and digging deep until the dirt was embedded in her already short cut nails. Lovely. I was watching the game then turned around to see Madi's pants off too (usually she's in a dress so seeing someone in a dress made her just want to strip). Thankfully, she put them back on for me.

The Tigers!

GO, Tigers! We don't keep score at this age but...Dev did. 10-4 with 4 goals for Dev Eddie! He made his Grandpa Eddie and Daddy beam with pride! If you don't remember, the journey...here it is. Where he is been to where he is makes a Daddy and a Mommy proud!

He was so excited each time he scored! Go, Dev!

Mr. Dev and his buddy, Liam waiting for kick-off.

Then, Tsunami and Blue Wave go at it!

Blue Wave is a developmental Select Team so technically they are playing UP with the best players in the U10 league. Last spring, they spanked us. But this year, Tsunami was ready to to topple them. We had a 3-1 lead but 2nd half they came back with a 4-4 tie. The Ref said it was the best U11 game he'd ever seen! It was such a good game!

This is Cade next to Madi. Madi loves her some Cade. He has a brother and his sister plays on Tsunami...he only wanted to play with boys but Madi won him over with her Star Wars fruit snacks and juice boxes. She's a quick learner, she knows the way to a man's heart is through his tummy!

Husband is super proud of his teams! It was a great soccer weekend!

So sorry that we missed the Tigers first game! Looks like Madi is finding her place in the world. I don't think we need to worry to much about her. She is one little girls who knows what she likes and isn't afraid to go out and get it!

PS. I LOVE THE NEW BLOG LAYOUT!!

I will never get over how cute Dev looks in those LONG shorts.

I think you need to have one more girl...for ballet.
