Hotwheels. Icecream. He wasn't into Legos at the time so we didn't use that. Grandpa Eddie was there every game and he tried to help us talk to Dev especially when he could see defeat and frustration in our eyes.
Spring of 2009...he's on the field. I was just elated for that step. Wa Hoo!
The team decided to name the team Storm Troopers. It was a toss between that Blue Tigers or the Blue Sox. Coach Daddy asked one team member what name she wanted because she hadn't voted and she shrugged her shoulders and said "Storm Troopers". Dev was beaming after that, I don't think he doubted he'd get his way.
Kicking. I don't think I saw this either last fall.He did so well and we are so proud of him for the little-big steps he made. Little in theory. Big for us and our expectations (for which, we had none). We just went with whatever he was going to throw at us. So, when he scored a goal with an excellent pass from Antony we (yes, that includes all family members on the sidelines-Grandpa Eddie, Aunty Andria, Coach Dao and Coach Daddy + fellow G6ers) were jumping and yelling!! It was a great morning...early but great. I'm glad I went to witness it.
Who are these pretty ladies? Yes, that is a shiner my little one has. Her sister, Nana and her were playing lightsabers and the spring up lightsaber caught her eye. She cried for a milli-second and then wanted to continue to play...the girl is fearless so we guess it's a good thing she bounces back easily. Sheesh. All Spring 2009 pictures courtesy of Grandpa Eddie my wingman/camera-man. :)

So cute. My hubby played soccer and talks about couching his kids team...but then doesn't want kids...hmmm. I love when they're shin guards take up their whole legs!
I hope my TQ will play this weekend. Devin looks so adorable in his soccer uniform!
Go Devin!
