Veggie Garden Step II + Sick Daddy and Mommy

Remember when I said we were sick this week? Well, Daddy and I both started our high temps after sitting in the rain planting for a few hours. We SO wanted to get it done and we did. I feel bad because Daddy was out there miserable pressure washing in the rain to get the deck sparkling. And, sparkling it is. Edward Style sparkling for sure. So, his misery started a wee bit before mine.

Our photographer...we could feel ourselves feeling yucky so we asked her to take some quick pictures for us. Thanks, Isa!

Cherry Tomatoes - we have several tomato plants - everything from Super Fantastic to Roma to Cherry Tomatoes - we have 5 different kinds all together. We're hoping to make our own marinara sauces with our herbs, salsa and more BBQ sauce.

Yellow Bell Peppers.

You can see my foot in the corner - Danskos covered in dirt with Daddy in his already SUPER wet coveralls. We finally finished and we feel good about it. We're going to add a trellis for our peas, cucumbers and beans. We want to line up with twine and sticks with some waterproof labels made by the kids. I love any reason to label something. We have some corn as well that we are going to plant as soon as we CLEAR out the dang raspberries, they popped up again! URGH, I'm so over those things!

Then, we'll be done.

Our Edward Style sparkling clean deck - I re-potted some chives + trimmed them and our rosemary and thyme as well as stock our Topsy Turvy with strawberries. The pot straight ahead has some flower bulbs in them.

The toys and kids' furniture is all pressured washed down. I cleaned out the pots and aerated the soil. I just need to add more soil and finish planting.

Daddy and Dev cleaning up the rest of yard and washing off our supplies.

I hope this to NOT be true. Any tips on keep animals away from crops without using chemicals? I'll gladly take advice.

NOW, back to bed.

oh no! I was hoping you guys weren't going to get it! It is never good when the Mommy is down, but the Daddy too? Feel better soon!

It looks great! I'm so late in planting I might just skip it this year. I always end up planting in the rain though. Never fails.
