- Softball and Baseball Season
My Husband and my little brother, Tyler play the sport. They both excel at it as well. So, watching them is a spring must - do. Husband plays in the south end and so watching him doesn't happen as frequently as we'd like but all of his buddies live south from where we live so it makes sense he plays out there. We all love watching him play so we feel like we miss out when we can't go down (he plays on Sunday nights) to watch.
My little - big brother. He is the same age as Isa but almost as tall as me. Yes, Father in the Bride 2 is what you're thinking. And yes, my Mom and I were pregnant at the same time. Mine with my first and her with her last.

- Day Camps and Art Activities
We love all the fun things our local community centers offer. My kids usually do one camp or day art class a summer. I try to buddy them up with their friends which it makes it doubly fun for them. Past years, we've done a Fairy or Small Creature Home arts and crafts, Mommy and Me Camps and Swim Lessons at Yost Pool; whatever is available and the kids have interest in I try to accommodate.
Mommy and Me Camp with her Girls Scout Troop. They did so many fun activities arranged by us Moms of the troop. They hiked at Yost Park, scrapbooked together and made some fun crafts for a whole week!
Every year since we moved up here, we've always done swimming lessons at Yost Pool/Park. I love it because it's outdoors and it gets an early jump start on my summer day. I sign up for the early classes (9am) so the water isn't as toasty as it would be later in the day but the kids don't seem to mind + the pool is heated. Dev (if you remember correctly) had his first lessons last year. It did not go so well. I pulled him out after his 2nd session and we've decided to wait for next summer. He still has no interest but will go in the pool to play with Daddy. Baby steps...they always move at their own pace.

- Friends: Playdates and Sleepovers
Oh, how we love ourselves some friend playing time. Their house, our house, the park, the beach, the museum or where ever else it's always a great feeling to know it's whatever. You don't have to pick them up by 4:30pm so they can rush to soccer or Girl Scouts. You get to chillax and let them have a great time enjoying each other.

- Family Time
Our ferry ride last year with Grandpa Eddie.
We can't forget the annual 4th of July parade that we march in. We usually do this with the Co-Op but this year we will get to sit and enjoy the parade from the sidelines. It'll be fun to catch the candy being thrown instead of throwing it.
Going to Pike Place Market, hanging out on the Waterfront, enjoying Alki Beach, going to the Seattle Art Museum (free every 1st Thursday of the month) and hanging at the Aquarium are our favorites too. We usually leave home early and hang out until 2pm (just before traffic gets horrible). I love not feeling rushed to get home. We are on our own time.
Beaches. See? I told you she hated the sand last year. You'd never would have guessed it from our Memorial Day weekend this year!

- Greenlake Wade Pool
This got it's own label because my kids totally love this place. Nana especially. They always beg to go there because it's a Wade Pool that they can walk around in. Plus they can have running around the loop and pick up treasures along the lake as we walk along the paths. We see people fishing, jogging...but mainly, they love the Wade Pool and can play for a few hours there. So, we try to go at least a few times a year. It's nice to go after we have gone to Woodland Park Zoo so they can cool off before the ride home.
I like it because more than likely we'll see friends we know. And, then it's just a party; chatting it up with friends and finding out what they've been doing during the summer.

- Camping
This is a new one for our family. We did our first camping trip last summer. What's not to love? Hiking, eating, telling stories around a fire, fishing, s'mores; life doesn't get much better. The kids had so much anticipation leading up to the trip and then a blast during that we decided it's now a G6 tradition every summer.
Dev after he took a dive while trying to fish with the daddies. I was not there and that's probably a good thing. We went last year with Chris and Cass. We had a wonderful time with them. They stuck with our crazy group and fun was had by all!

- Hanging Out at Home
We love us some lazy days. We love just chillin' at home and relaxing. I try to make it fun but not over stuffed that = cranky kiddies which would = cranky Mommy. So, we pace ourselves and plan out our weeks/days depending on our moods. I'm lucky to have an easy going bunch, I must say. We are jazzed there is only 15 days left until school is out well technically 14 1/2 but who's counting?
