Autumn Olympics 2011

I love this class. They do so many fun things but one of my favorites has to be the Autumn Olympics. They spend the whole day doing fun things - that's not Halloween related but completely Autumn related. Love it.

Nana was a part of this for 2 years and had a blast. Last year, they made a change instead of 1st, 2nd and 3rd they are doing 1st years bronze, 2nd years silver and 3rd years gold so that by the time you leave the class you will have gotten every medal. Nana told Dev that he better do good because her first year she got gold. SO glad they changed it. Dev was a nervous wreck to make sure he carried on the tradition.

The events. Madi took most of my pictures and although I can't have her take all of the "credit" for the sideways pictures I can sort of use her - sorry if you're neck hurts by the end of this post. I could have fixed it but...this authentic. Dontcha think?

Pay did the Mummy Wrap, Egg Walk and the Ooey Gooey Southwestern Gourmet Surprise Soup...I will let her Mom post her experience on that!

The infamous Egg Walk. There's a secret to this...they don't really walk on eggs. They just make them believe they are! HA! It's a SND secret they can not reveal to siblings as this is a tradition to play a joke on the newbies.

So proud of his team!

His biggest event was the Baseball relay.

(even his big sissy, Isa skipped class to watch him!)

They broke out into teams and this relay had me sweating bullets until he was done. Whew! He did fantastic! Love my boy!

His team was the Yellow Candy Corn. The kid is obsessed with candy corn. I have no idea why. But he was so excited for his team name.

I love how they didn't realize the sign was upside down until Dev looks at it and says "what the heck? It's upside down, Ava!" Bwhahaha! I thought it was cute not the right way but hey, what do I know! What a fun morning...so fun I forgot that I was supposed to check in reading logs in the big girls class. Whoops! I didn't put it in my schedule so there wasn't a ding to remind me. I am a bit too reliant on that ding. Hahaha!
