Orcas Island Part I

Every summer, we camp. Rain. Shine. We camp. Tent camping too. Not that sissy resort camping that I pine to do. The real stuff where I spend 3 days after washing and cleaning. That kind. We camp annually with the C6. G6 + C7 (they bring a friend for their oldest, Haley) = loads of fun.

I like escapes. Mini ones. We went to Orcas Island 2 years ago and loved it. I still love it and will continue to go there. It's the best. Wednesday, we couldn't leave until a bit later because Mr. Dev had Taekwondo testing so we hopped on the 7:20pm ferry and sailed away. The C6 took the 4:20pm ferry so we weren't too far behind them. It was nice having some family time on the ride over.

Which means Isa takes loads of pictures. I won't post all of them...I'll spare ya.

I took this and Daddy said "Christmas Card" - uh, no. But it is quite the accomplishment that they are all looking in the same direction. I ♥ them.

Evening ferry = sunset which was gorgeous.

Busy taking pictures of themselves. Crazy kids. Photo obsessed. I have no idea where they get that from. ::ahem::

I was not taking her seriously...maybe I should have.

Apparently, neither was he.

We made it to camp just in time for rain. Heavy rain. All night heavy rain. It was awesome. You should stay tuned.

Ferry boat rides are so relaxing. Granted you make it on. We're headed there at the end of the month. Can't wait!
