(Pre) Birthday Celebration Lunch with Camie!

I spent the morning with my girlfriend, June but we didn't get any pictures. Not really sure why just that I rarely see her and so I was less focused on the blogging aspect. She treated me to breakfast at Panera. Who doesn't like Panera?

One of my favorite eating partners is Camie - her two kids, Ella + Tyler are frequent G6 visitors and usually we spend our play dates eating and baking.

We are always trying to hip each other on the food front..."dude, you must try _____." Then, we try to figure out how to squeeze it in our already busy days. Somehow, we manage.

For my birthday, she wanted to take me to Samurai Noodles. Talk about comfort food. This bowl of yumminess warmed me right up! The pork cutlets, bamboo shoots, shitake mushrooms, pickled ginger, green onions were bonuses to this already delicious broth of pork and cooked perfectly noodles. I apologize, vegetarians. I was in love.

Ton-Katsu Ramen...I think I'm getting the late night munchies just revisiting this picture. Delicious!

What's a birthday without a pastry? Clear not a birthday! So...we swung by Vivace's Espresso for a little pick me up. Camie saw this interesting scone as she put it...um it was a dairy free, gluten free scone not so satisfying when you're looking for a buttery pastry. Just sayin'!

That's about as far as her and I got sharing that scone...Cam, did you finish it?

This is my favorite place. Camie, I know you love Dilettante more but the coffee here has stolen my heart. I'm just happy my local coffee shop serves it or I'd be finding ways to get my hands on it in Seattle. And, yes Grandpa Eddie I love it more than that big chain Daddy and I used to work for! Hee, hee!
