Oh the gentle age under 4 (or U4) for soccer...they are so easily distracted, overly agressive or extremely timid or my favorite scared poopless of the soccer ball.
They look at you with their adoring faces "remind me again...why am I here?" Then us parents remind them ever so gently, "you love soccer, remember? You wanted this." Then, they run on the field aimlessly trying to figure out what direction the 14 parents are telling them to run.
Then, there's me. I've let that go. Kinda. I did get a little worried at kick off when I saw Madi's face go blank into a scared look when the boys kicked it like a football instead of a soccer ball directly at our team. But, hey it's all in learning. She would run to me and I would have to remind her..."you're playing, Madi".
There's already talks of me having to remove myself from the front row so our soccer player will play. It's only one game...kick me off after game 3 at least, right?

Boys side. Girls side. Already...they recognize there's a division.
Daddy's Defense: Everytime Madi stands in the front of the line instead of going to back after her turn and so I tell Alex to go.
We play 30 minutes of practice. Then, 30 minutes of game. And...my daughter was ready to play at the park after the 30 minutes of practice.
We love an audience so if you want some entertainment on a Saturday morning...holler! Grandpa Eddie watched this game and I think...he's in love with U4 soccer. It is pretty entertaining.

It feels like Pay and Dev were doing U4 soccer last fall, and it's already time for Madi to do it. They are adorable! I can't wait to watch the Minions play!
They are so adorable! Is Madi wearing baby legs legwarmers? ;)
