Look who's 6!

I've been trying to convince him to stay 5. I can't handle this growing up thing. It seems like everytime I turn around one of my kids are getting older. Ugh.

Bittersweet - 3 years ago I was probably wishing for the day that my kids could be a bit more independent so we can do fun things together. Here it is and I wish I had Grub's Shrink Ray to make them my "little tiny" babies.

He was so excited for his birthday at school. It includes a very special VIP Day! He decorated a birthday crown for his entry task. And, all of the kids made a page for his birthday book as their entry task. It was so special to get a happy birthday picture from everyone in class.

Madi got dressed up for the very special day. I have given up on picking out her clothes, the girl is a Diva and if she's dressed and in the car. No complaints from me. Okay, maybe a little complaining but some of her outfits are kinda out there.

Big sister, Nana came in (she's in the same building) to see Dev's special project and was so excited to celebrate his birthday with him.

We were in charge of snack so we had his favorite. Oranges and Monkey Munch.

After school, it was off to his special place. He kept saying "We'll go here today but I'm not going to build any persons. When I go with Grandpa Eddie, I will build and show him all the 'cool' stuff here." Hmmm, Grandpa Eddie - did you know he had these plans to celebrate his birthday this way? Dev is a planner and knows what he wants. We were in and out in 15 minutes. He got Battle of Naboo and his Blue Ninja he's been wanting for since Ninjago came out. Happy Day! Thanks to some birthday money he also got the shoes he's been wanting...Boba Fett. He is obsessed with Boba Fett. He talks about him all the time.

Happy Boy!

He was missing Daddy all day. He called and asked if just the two of them could go to dinner. I thought it was too much for all of us to go and I felt guilty that Isa couldn't join in because of pictures for her play. So, I thought they should just go instead of all of us.

Daddy really thought we all should so I promised Isa we'd bring her home something. I still felt guilty. I let her pack whatever she wanted from home during her picture session. Can you tell we never eat out?

We went to The Rock. He first went with Grandpa Eddie and Daddy so I think more than anything he loves this pizza place because it was a special date with his Daddy and Grandpa. The boy orders a hamburger everytime we go. A hamburger when they're famous for woodfire pizza. Weird, right? But, he loves the atomsphere and knows most of the bands featured around (thank you, Guitar Hero!) The Rock.

They even got Sprite. The highlight of their night.

Madi spilled her Sprite and it drenched their coloring papers so they gave the kids pizza dough to play with instead. They were so happy! Why didn't they just give us that anyway? That was the first time I'd seen pizza dough given but it's such a hit makes you wonder why they don't give it you automatically? Hmmm.

Happy Nana! My dreaded "toy" in the house is play doh so I love when we can somewhere else for them to get their play doh fix.

He was so happy to be with Daddy on his special day! Daddy was offered Opening Day Sounder tickets from his customers (who have club seats) and he opted to spend the evening with his boy. He didn't even tell me until dinner. I felt bad for Daddy - it was LA Galaxy with Beckham...we would've understood. We know Daddy loves us! He went home and I did pick up duty for Isa so he could watch the game. We have the best Daddy!

When Isa got home we had icecream and leftover Batman cake that Grandma Kim made. The kids were so excited! It was like seeing an old friend! SUGAR!

The Birthday boy and Nana - I was starting to feel really sick. Which ends to be that I am very sick so I wasn't 100% towards the end of the night so no video or anything but he had the best day!
We love you, Baby Boy!
