The Boy Friend

WARNING: I didn't NOT take enough pictures. I was busy and kept thinking others would and well...no one did. SO, be warned. I should've most definitely whipped it out.

No worries, the photo booth at the Cast Party got plenty - will share those soon.

The Boy Friend. I loved the era it was in, I loved the costumes...it all really grew on me. I wasn't a fan at first but they did an amazing job. Truly. Isa was in the chorus and is still singing all the songs.

Isa and her group of besties (minus Kaylin who was in another cast) before they went on stage. This was opening night for their cast.

Isa and Maya are school boys, Alexa was a school girl, Izzie was a party goer/dancer and Mere had a couple roles but she too was a party goer.

On Sunday, I got there so early for set up because Isa had to be there so early that I actually had time to get a photo of Isa and So-So. So-So spent the night Saturday night and came to help me set up for the silent auction I was doing during the play.

PS thank YOU to everyone who donated to silent auction for Isa's school's play. It was a HUGE success thanks to you generous and talented donators!

She wouldn't let me get her without make up on. She played a School Boy in her play. She volunteered to be a boy and I had a hard time, I kept saying "you're too pretty to be a boy!" I know it's not about that but she never wears anything but her soccer gear or her jeans so I was looking forward to seeing her in a DRESS. She wore one in the end as a party goer. SO, I got my "Isa in a dress" fix. She's beautiful no matter what and Daddy and I are so proud of her, did I mention that yet because WE are so proud!

Haley and Kaylin on their opening night - I didn't get any pictures of our cousin, Luc but he did great too he had a larger role - very exciting! Everyone did so well! Their first time in the play, they had a blast!

Isa had a blast! She complains when she has to leave indoor soccer early or misses out on birthday parties but in the end she never regrets doing it. I always cry seeing her up there. She just loves it so much. It makes it all worth while for us as parents- the shuffling, the juggling, the long practices...everything to see her be so happy up on stage! Daddy and I were excited for her all weekend long.

I have to say, I didn't like the story as much as I liked last year's play. But, it was so well done - the details blew me away. I am always impressed at the dedication of all the volunteers - all of it's volunteers minus the director and producers so it's pretty amazing the dedication. It's inspiring and contagious.

Thanks again to all who supported!

They all look so professional. She is gorgeous and makes a very pretty boy. But good for her for volunteering! Most girls wouldn't, but sounds like she's just happy to be a part of something. You must be one proud Mommy!

Not my favorite choice for a play either, but I did love seeing the kids all dressed up and ready for their parts. So glad to finally have kids in the play!

P.S. You did an amazing job, too! Raising over $4,000 for MCT!!!!
