01.01.2011

I rarely host any holiday on my Mom's side so hosting New Year's Day was surprisingly fun! Not that it's horrible but that it takes some planning. I probably just over think things...yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

My mom cooked the chicken breast I had...making her famous Garlic Chicken - battered chicken breast in a cream of mushroom gravy. Super healthy. It's one of my favorites my Mom makes so I'm sure it was Sheree-Inspired. She offered to cook because I was probably annoying with her asking what I should make. Cooking for 20 people is no easy task especially when 12 kids are involved you want to please everyone, right?

My Aunt Andria (C6's Aunty too!) made appetizers. She made a yummy brie/pastry with homemade strawberry jam smothered under the pastry. Mmmm, it's becoming a favorite around here. She brought chips and dip to go with the Rose Bowl. I made Trader Joe's Spinach Dip, Cranberry/Jalapeno Meatballs, hummus + crackers and white chocolate chip cookies then my Mom made her famous chocolate chip cookies after dinner.

Appetizers during the Rose Bowl.

Caught! Livi trying to figure out how she can have chocolate before dinner. I think she succeeded. Aunty Andria got chocolates from my Mom for Christmas. A very large box.

Then, I wanted a picture of all the kids together...since I left early on Christmas Eve I didn't get a chance to get a picture of my brother's kids. We are still missing Jun (my brother's oldest) who's in Disneyland with his Mommy.

from the to right clockwise: Livi -5, Lucas -9, Jaydes -3, Dev -5, Isa -10, Kaydalin -2, Gabby -12, Madi -3, Nana -8 and Tyler -10.

Take 226. And...they're done!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sounds yummy! Not a bad pic for the number of kids. I can't believe the size of that box of chocolates!
