Cupcake Wars

I have a thing for food. In particular...pastries. Even more particular, Cupcakes. Bring me a cupcake and we're friends for life. Especially if they're good cupcakes.

I wasn't quite convinced that Cupcake Royale was in that category. I am more of a Trophy fan. Still am, don't get it twisted. Hummingbird will always have a place in my heart. Forever and ever.

BUT, it's always nice to have some one challenge me. Cupcake War? You're on Miss Nikki. Nikki, Corissa and I met up for an afternoon of cupcakes. Cupcakes for lunch? I'm in.

Background History: Nikki, Corissa and I danced together many moons ago. I was a ballet drop out due to the Running Start program but they continued like the good ballerinas they are. I so wish I would've stuck with it. Dancing brings back tons of memories of good friends. More history? Corissa and I went to daycare together. Yep, daycare. It's been a long time since I had seen either of them. ::side note:: my friend, June and I went to daycare with Corissa (so I'm sure she's surprised to see Corissa's face on here).

Hello, Latte and Cupcakes. We'll be BFFs forever. I'm sure of it.

I ordered Peppermint Party, Lemondrop, Red Velvet, Lavender, Cream Cheese Classic and Coconut Bunny. You gotta try them all in order to make an appropriate assessment and review. Duh.

My review: I love the Lavender Cupcake. Craving as we speak actually. Late night munchies...I am a faithful Trophy fan but would not object to a cupcake from here again. Soon would be good too. The sponge of the cupcakes are moist...the edges are not. Just sayin'. Trophy has it's moments in hard edges so...maybe it was hard edge day. Who knows. But, the fact that I will be back is saying a little something-something.

You know when you haven't seen someone in a loooong time and there's these awkward pauses and you're trying to figure out if it's a good time to leave? None of that. I had the best time with them. It was like we picked up where we left off...it helps that Nikki and I have been snooping in each other's lives through the world of blogging for the past 2 years but man, the best of times. I can't wait to see them again!

And done...man that latte was good.

Nikki and Corissa, thanks for a fun date filled with memories, cupcakes and coffee (my favorite!). Nikki, let's make a Trophy date soon!!
