Remember our big
Memorial Day project?? Well, the fruits of our labor is definitely worth the work! The kids are so proud to have a sustainable organic garden. They love that the can eat straight from the their garden and know that their
carbon footprint has decreased because of it! We went to the zoo and they have an exhibit where they educate kids on how to preserve our enviroment. They were happy to add seeds to each bin for participating in conservation!
Education is key to gardening and I feel like I learn everyday. This is a trial and error process for sure! I would love tips or wisdom if you feel like sharing!

So, here's our a quick update - my apologies for the blurry photos! But, I wanted to update our progress.

Green Beans!

Snap Peas!

Romas - we have 5 different tomatoes - we are hoping to make some yummy tomato sauce and salsa with our fresh tomatoes!

Broccoli!! I'm so happy this is turning out to be a success!
We subscribed to
Organic Gardening - and I love love love this magazine. I vote it most useful for gardening...but it makes me want chickens. Fresh eggs, anyone?? Tempting, isn't it?? Just out of curiousity - do any of you own chickens? I seriously don't foresee us having them but the thought is definitely intriguing.

Wow your garden is doing great! How do you have so many roma tomatoes already??
I am so impressed with your garden!
I know tons of people who have chickens in Edmonds and Dao's parents used to have them. The only problem that his parents had was with animals wanting to eat the chickens.
P.S. I love the cilantro that you gave me! It's doing great! Thanks again!
I love it! You guys are doing so well... even better than I am. Look at your tomatoes! Nice work, Sheree.
Yay, I was hoping you'd post a garden update! I have barely posted anything recently but I have pictures of how our garden started and I just took some of where it is now. Our tomatoes are teeny but there, just like yours. We have some peppers (SO EXCITED), broccoli, peas, a TON of cilantro and garlic chives ... and lots more. This was our trial and error year too. So fun. I'm going to check out that Organic Gardening link you posted. Thank you! :)
