Father's Day Rain Out

I'm all for rain. In fact, I tend to love it. But, really? Where is the sun? We had big plans to see the Meerkats at Woodland Park Zoo for Father's Day. Last year, we did a nice picnic and zoo exploration for Father's Day with G.E. and Daddy.

This year, it literally rained on our parade.

Upon leaving our house that morning heading to Daddy's rainy soccer game we decided to go to the Pacific Science Center. Not knowing that the C6 had also planned the same thing due to the rain. They were going to picnic at the park and have a mellow Father's Day but the rain changed all of our plans.

We thought sweet - we could go see Toy Story 3 in 3D and wander the PSC. It would be fun a treat for all of us! I was pretty proud I was able to get past the rain and plan something fun for the G.E. and Daddy.

Toy Story 3 at the IMAX at PSC and it was sold out. It bummed me out more than it did the kids. But, we knew there was a cool circus exhibit there currently that the kids would love to do. Plus, the kids love the Butterfly exhibit and the Tide Pool where they could touch fun sea water life. Plenty to do, right? Right...

The kids lined up for the space ship. Dev loves this because he can pretend to be in Star Wars ship and take off into the galaxy!
[P.S. The Tide Pool was closed. Good thing, we have a membership and can visit some other time!]

Daddy hadn't been there since he was a tiny tot and it was probably equally long since Grandpa Eddie had been. It was fun times to re-visit and see how excited the kids were!

Oh the Circus. We thought we'd visit all the exhibits and do that last. What were thinking? They closed the lines at 4:30pm. We missed out on the tight rope walking and the acrobat station the kids had so much fun dressing up that it didn't even seem to matter. They loved this exhibit!

Goofy Daddies dressing up with their kids. Denise and I were cracking up the whole time watching the Daddies be goofy with their kids!

Happy Father's Day! It's the trademark "G" smile! We love you, both. Thanks for being wonderful to the G6 kiddies and me!
