Yak Attack Part I

We had a much needed getaway to Yakima this weekend for the Yak Attack Tournament. It was 5v5 and if you wanna watch hard core soccer of all ages, this was the place! Isa has had so much fun doing tournaments in the past but I'm telling you this took the cake in level of fun-ness for her. Thanks to Christi O. for organizing the Moldy Blue Cheese [the team is made up of mostly Blue Cheesers - with a Firecracker and a couple of Tornadoes from our Soccer Club]!

Most of the Moldy Blue Cheese ready to rock it out! Isa was already over me taking pictures, her friends are holding her up...and it was the only the beginning. Ha! They tie-dyed their socks and shirts. I thought they turned out cool looking! Thanks Ray and Sid for organizing the art project for their jerseys!

My Isa-Belle.

Husband already had it in his mind that he was going to do Goalie Wars. Basically, you are short range trying to get it in the goal by throwing or kicking but you can not pass the mid line. This proved harder than it looked. Husband went up against some strong goalies. It was for fun and he did great!

Getting ready...

Throwing it into the goal...he made it to the final 6 but a lot of them were goalies in this tournament and Husband is not a goalie. He didn't have all the gear on, he just did it for fun!

The Moldy Cheesers cheered him on!

They won all 3 games that day. We left Saturday at 7am and Isa played great! The heat and the drive over I thought she'd be dying but she listened and drank lots of water! Grandpa Eddie came out Saturday to stay the whole day watching his Isa play.

The kids survived and had a blast that day. We played at the park and watch soccer...typical Saturday in the G6 Family. Stay tuned for Part II.
