Yak Attack Part II

We woke up Sunday morning refreshed and ready for more soccer! We were 3rd seed but technically 2nd seed because there were 2 teams tied for first. We won our 1st game Sunday, tied our 2nd game - went to a shoot out [you pick 5 girls and shoot the ball around a pile of hay] and we lost. Then lost our last game by 0-1 sooooo, we took 4th overall out of 16 teams. We still think that's pretty awesome for their first time playing together in a tournament AND the heat. The elements were messing with me so I'm sure it had to effect their game.

We are so proud of the Moldy Blue Cheese!

How do G6ers keep themselves entertained? There was a park at our site where we waited in between games. The kids were so well behaved and easily entertained. We've always said give our younger 3 can have sticks and they can be entertained for hours...completely true. Isa isn't as easily entertained but I think that's because she keeps us most busy being the oldest. The others have adapted to following our herd. :)

Nana and Madi being goofballs and rollin' around in the grass. :)

Or chillaxin' playing the DS.

We took our time going home and stopped in Husband's college town, Ellensburg to enjoy some homemade icecream at Winegar's. What's a soccer game in the heat without celebrating it with icecream?

Nana and Dev chose Bulldog Bubblegum the most artifical one they offer - figures, right? Madi had Margo's Cake Batter. Isa got something similar to mine which was Ashley's Coconuttery Swirl minus the coconut flavored icecream + marshmallows and I forget what Husband had. Ours was gone by the time he paid for ours and sat down! HA!

Ashley's Coconuttery Swirl...delicious. I need help with my food pictures - Nikki, help me?!

Nana wanted to make sure I got a picture of her licking her cone.

Husband licked Madi's to help with the dripping but he said it was so gross. It tasted just like cake batter and frosting. Weird...but that's our baby. The sweet and the more artifical the better!

Our soccer girl! She played amazing and we are SO SO SO proud of her. We love you, baby!

Goofball. He didn't even end up liking his icecream so he munched on Madi's leftovers. He always has to get what Nana's getting and always ends up not liking it. For example, she almost always gets chocolate for dessert and even though the boy detests chocolate he'll still order it. Then complain that he doesn't like it...duh, you don't like chocolate - buddy! Goofball.

Dev took our picture. He cut off his sister...she was probably smiling perfectly too. Dang.

Our babies.

We stopped in Cle Elum at Husband's favorite spot for beef jerky, Owen's Meats. We've actually stopped through here before and it's yummy so we can't not stop. You know how it is. It's just wanna those must stop places.

They're products all look yummy - the spreads, the sauces...even the pickles.

Isa was over me taking pictures...can you tell?

I was trying to take a picture of the meat and Husband said, that doesn't do it justice. He basically volunteered to be a model - so, what do you think? Does it look good?

Our mini vacation did us good and we had a blast. We love soccer. We love family time. We love our life together. It was amazing and we can't wait for more tournaments this upcoming year!

Hahaha! The only tip I have is to try to get your kids to sit still. Good luck! ;)

The ice cream looks so good. I remember always picking bubblegum and saving the gum until the end.

I love all the pictures at the ice-cream parlor! Especially all 4 of the kiddies!
I think David should switch careers and become a beef jerky model. Srsly! haha!
P.S. That beef jerky is super, duper good!
P.P.S. I think I counted the word goofball at least a couple of times in your post. You forgot to mention that the word was officially banned for the road trip! (tee hee!)
