Sometimes...

Not always it's healthy to ditch out on our evening commitments and do something spontaneously as a family. Yesterday was that kinda day. The sun peeked out and Daddy was home all day. He did the "in the life of Mommy" day with us taking the kids to and fro.

We played a board game - Star Wars Trouble - with Dev while Madi was napping and before we had to get Nana from the bus stop (Isa had play practice after school)...Dev won (but boy, those two boys are so competitive - they got way too much joy in sending me "home".) I had a meeting but because Husband had a 6pm game I already said that I couldn't make it not knowing he had said he wasn't going to go to his game...then we kinda sat there like - what do we do now? I told him - I have not seen in indoor game in awhile - let's go. Let's ditch out on whatever we have to do and continue our family time.

We got Isa from play practice and headed down together. He was shocked that I even fancied this idea because we never really just ditch out. I got Nana from the bus swooped up Husband, Madi and Dev (he had to change into his soccer gear like Daddy!) then we headed to get Isa...it was a really fun night.

Sorry, this is the worst picture ever...I was behind glass and in lieu of my laziness I didn't walk up the stairs to get a better shot. I hate missing a moment in indoor because it all happens so quickly.

They won 11-3. Husband plays a lot of defense on his indoor team when he usually plays forward in outdoor so it was neat to see him play a different position AND just to watch indoor. I really enjoy watching soccer and him...I love seeing him do what he loves. The girls and Dev love watching him score goals and play hard. They were yelling "go, Daddy!" the whole night -they were playing close attention and that made Daddy feel loved! :)

After that happy night came...barf. I have Isa home today with the tummy virus that apparently is running rapid in their school...bleh. She is quarantined to the sicky couch and we hope for a speedy recovery as she has birthdays for two friends coming up this weekend one being her best friend, Kay's 9th birthday!!

I love watching my girls play indoor! That's only in the summer here though when it's 115+ outside! The mens' games are pretty quick I bet! Looks like fun!
