Friday Fun!

Hi, it's Friday...yep - Friday Fun day. So, usually we hang with the N4 (Lil' Tyler and Ella - Dev and Madi's buddies) in the morning. We've had off set yuckiness through our houses so this is the first Friday in 3 weeks we've gotten together. Cam (Lil' Tyler and Ella's Momma) just celebrated her birthday so we had a little FROST and some eggrolls...I know interesting combo, huh? We're women, our food choices don't have to make sense just be satisfying.

Cam brought her SIL in Angela - she walked in with a bag of knitting stuff SO I had her help me finish my self taught lesson of knitting...I was at a stump and everyone I asked was discouraging saying I should crochet - what I'm too lamesauce for knitting? Then, life happened and I left it on low on the back burner...but it's revived.

I learned how to properly cast on so I can get a good "go" I learned some great techniques. We drank coffee, ate doughnuts and knitted...life was good. Oh, the kids - yeah, no pictures - didn't you hear? I was knitting.

Isa was inspired to loom or weave or weave using a loom - whatev. We all got a bit crafty today. I was happy to see Isa relaxin' and enjoying her day after her yucky tummy bug.

It was brought to life after living in the craft cabinet for 2 years! WOOT WOOT!

Nap time came...the N4 and Angela left and the Ignacio Fam came by for a little visit - Sarah and I have been friends since elementary and she works full/over time as a hygenist so when she's free she comes up to hang with us...Isa read to sweet Kaelee while Madi was napping and the boys were busy building trains.

She totally felt tons and tons better...yesterday at 10am was the last of the tummy blues. She was a bit weak but seemed to be fine all day today. Isa loves her sweats (+ her MJ hat). Kaelee was so attentive to Isa while she read to her. Isa loves a captive audience.

Later after school - Luc (my cousin) took the bus home with Nana...and my Aunt brought over her daughter, Livi (my baby cousin) for her very 1st sleepover. She was in pajamas before 6pm. They played games - hopscotch TWISTER (super fun!) - Wii (Mario Bros. - Resort and Guitar Hero) and watched Garfield. And, yes this all happened in one day...just in case you were curious - :)

Um, I hadn't realized they didn't connect the circles so we corrected that. It's easy to cheat when you can move your circle. ;)




What's movie night without Sheree's Popcorn Surprise? Just a little concoction of yumminess + popcorn (you'll have to bribe me for the recipe).





Nana is the best fort builder EVER. She made a fort for her and Livi to sleep in.



They were doing shadow puppets. Livi came down a little bit ago after Nana had read her every book she has in her "library" and was a bit scared. I rubbed her back and read her another story...crossing my fingers she makes it through her first sleepover. I bribed her with our Saturday cereal (all natural "lucky charms" or all natural "cocoa puffs" - I know we live dangerously here at the G6's house!) with hot chocolate and marshmallows.




The boys were in Isa's room playing DSes for a bit before nighty night.

Time for a cup of tea...and some more knitting. Night!
