Sickies and Super Heroes

What a week! To end our very busy eventful week...I bring you double ear infection and pneumonia. Yeah, no kidding. The little ones have been battling a rough virus almost all week. but, nothing major just cold yucky stuff.

Friday...I noticed Dev was warm. Warmer than the evening before and warmer than normal. I decided to trust my Momma gut and call the doc. They had a 10:15am appointment. Sure enough, he had a double ear infection, a small amount of fluid in his lungs and some wheezing. BOO. I was not prepared for that...I thought at best an ear infection. Meaning, one ear infected. Not the whole platter of yuckies.

Two trips to the doctor later...he is doing better. Look how happy is playing. He was a lump yesterday. Didn't move. Didn't eat. Didn't do a thing. So, I'm happy to see him so active and happy today. The meds he's on Denise's girls' have been on and she said it makes them "hyper". I didn't really pay attention to that part until he started climbing all over the house again.

He had a date with Grandpa Eddie this morning at IHOP but because he was so sick. Grandpa Eddie brought IHOP to him! Isa had play practice today and I was unsure how I was going to do it all with two cranky kids.

Denise stopped by during her husband's dentist appointment (2 blocks away) and offered to take Isa to her play practice! Shortly after, Grandpa Eddie walked in the door with pancakes! I had 2 Super Heroes today! Thanks to the both of you...I was able to get some stuff done while G.E. was here since Denise took Isa AND pick up Isa from play practice. Such a relief to not have to worry about packing the sickies!

He is making his Lego Star Wars guys into Batman and Robin. I did find out on wikipedia.com that Robin's real name is Dick Grayson - did you know that? I don't think I EVER knew that. It took for me to have a son to acquire that kind of knowledge.

Madi's poor eyes are so congested and her voice is so stuffy! Isa came home from play practice and Madi was so happy to see her!

Thanks again, Grandpa Eddie and Denise for your help today! It made my day a bit smoother. :)

Awww...You are so very welcome. We are so glad Dev's feeling better. How sweet is GE to keep his pancake date with Dev?!
