Every kid loves treats, right? Well, my kids are no exception. They love anything involving treats. Considering it was just the holidays...they're treat-o-meter is probably at it's maximum BUT we had one last treat for them. We knew it would be a tiresome day filled with excitement but hard to get back in the routine of things. So, they got to choose what was for dinner.
They're favorite dinner is
breakfast for dinner!
Daddy made french toast
well, you know Mommy - Daddy makes the best french toast. Yours is good to but you burn the first ones and we're hungry, bacon and eggs. Don't worry, kids. I don't take offense when you suggest Daddy makes dinner! :)

Aww, honey - I love when you cook dinner. You da best! He was in such a happy mood when he got home. He immediately started cooking dinner and chatted to the kids while cooking about their first day back.

Stuffed mouths and happy kids!
After dinner, Daddy and I talked for awhile while he cleaned the kitchen. I know, I totally scored last night. He cooked and cleaned. How awesome is that? We were getting the kids rounded up to go upstairs and the two little ones didn't want to go. They wanted to play more...so Daddy pulled out the big guns. He offered SUPER MADI. Which basically, it's whatever child up in the air running all over the house with Daddy. The big girls LOVEed this special Daddy treat. But, Isa wasn't really interested this round she wanted to read...sign of her age. ::sigh:: Nana and Dev definitely still are way into being flung around the house by their Daddy.

It starts downstairs - flying through every room then up the stairs.

Into their bed - for night night. We tucked them in - the little ones like to pretend to eat me. I always (pretend) eat them before bed. I tell them I didn't have enough dinner and they taste like chicken so I need to eat them! So, after I eat them - they eat me. I pretend it hurts and they laugh and laugh! It's pretty darn cute.
We kissed all of our lovies and let Isa read for another 30 minutes before bed...yes, she's reading Twilight. She is flying through it. Then, I snuggled into bed and read as well. I love nights like that...no fussing. Everyone goes down happy and ready to start the next day.
