Christmas Eve 2009!

Oh, how my kids have counted down the days to Christmas Eve. Not Christmas (not that they weren't excited about Christmas because they were). They woke up early that day saying it's "Christmas Eve! It's Christmas Eve!" We split ourselves between so much family - it's kinda crazy. We love it but it's a wild ride for sure Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We start off with going to my Uncle and Aunt's house (they live close by - thank goodness!) to make Santa cookies and eat a pre-dinner. That's right, I said PRE-dinner. They made the yummiest food - pecan crusted catfish (with this yummy infused lemon sauce), gumbo and chicken. SO good. No pictures because I was so hungry from baking away that I ate rather than capture the moment.

My Little Lady loves to be crafty. Painting. Coloring (anything WITH markers). Decorating Cookies - eating sugar and making a mess? You don't have to ask her twice!

The kids did decorating in rotation (with 12 kids that's all you can do!). My son however - was too busy playing with Luc's Star Wars toys to have anything to do with decorating cookies. But, my Aunt's sister made sure to send a cookie decorating kit home with Dev just in case later that night he'd want to decorate....

at midnight he decorated cookies for Santa...that's right I said midnight. It was a long fun night for us G6ers! Thanks, Aunty Robin for sending that care package with my son!

Okay, back to my Uncle and Aunt's house...

These two girls only see each other a few times a year when I either have my brother and sister over OR at family birthdays. But, they have so much fun together. They are the same age - Gab's my baby sister from my Mom's side and Haley is C6's oldest.

We did lots of takes with 4 cameras pointing at them. The patience level was slowly decreasing...but they hung in - my brother and his kids were late so they aren't pictured.
Right top to bottom left: Gab, Haley, Pay, Luc, Dev Livi Kay, Tyler, Isa, Madi, Em and Nana

Right as we were scrambling to get to our next Christmas Eve event, we tried to take another picture since all the kids were there. Nana's wearing a different shirt...her brother to a chomp out of her other one. Holidays also mean cranky kids...they were mostly good but Dev definitely needs his down time and the last few days he hasn't had it! Can you find my brother's add-ins? His middle son - Jaydes ran away so I didn't get a shot of him. But, I got my son's oldest, Jun and his youngest, Kaydalin. It was good to see all of them before we ran out to our next stop!

Then, we shot over 15 minutes away from where we were to Husband's Aunt's house our Christmas with them. The kids love love love love going over here. They are the only little kids so everyone pays lots of attention to them - especially their big cousins - the W4.

Isa loves hanging with cousin Kaedra and her boyfriend, Tim. Kae adores Isa as much as Isa adores her. She got all of our kids shoes. Man, shoes are great - buying shoes x4 can be pricey so I love when we receive them as gifts!

Family SHOT! Lots of wine and the best time with our G side! The kids were spoiled rotten - they got the DS games they wanted from GG and the W4 - Grandpa Eddie (who we call Santa Eddie) got Isa an iPod Nano in her fave color purple, Nana got the coveted Zhu Zhu Pets with Bella and Edward from Twilight - do I even need to specify here?Barbies (yeah, your jealous...I know I was!), Dev got TWO Lego ships he's been dying FOR from none other than Star Wars and his "bad guys" Bounty Hunters and Miss Madi received every princess doll in the Disney collection. They were happy campers when they got home that night...and that was JUST the beginning!

He needed to build right away...thanks, cousin Kurtis for building with our little guy. He was super patient and let Dev do most of it. I usually build it for him because it takes me 2 hours to build one ship. They did great in record time. See why they love going over here?

We had the best time and ended up leaving pretty late. Husband could've stayed longer but our kids were done at the ripe hour of midnight. They had the best time with family. A lot of their cousins work or at school so seeing them this time of year is always a treat! Thank you to all who hosted and for all those who spoiled our kids rotten.

Wow, you guys were SO busy just on Christmas Eve! I can't believe how big of a family you have on both sides, which is completely opposite from us! The kids got great gifts and I'm sure they are still enjoying them! Can't wait to hear about Christmas Day soon!

We loved spending Christmas Eve with you all! I can't believe the kids could hang until Midnight! I guess when you are being spoiled rotten with attention, you don't really get bored, do you?
