But, I remembered my camera before going to the soccer party right after the game. These families are so wonderful. The players were a delight to be around them. We enjoyed every single one of them. Their personalities are all unique but mesh together well enough to make a kick booty team!
Aww, super sweet! So, check this out...after the trophies were done - the coaches pause, grab roses and cards then make a speech about me and the other Team Mom. ::tears:: I held it together when my Husband talked about me and how much I mean to him as a Team Mom. How I tell him where to be and keep his life organized -or I'm just bossy but either way he appreciates it and I was surprised, moved, teary and touched. Thank YOU, Tornadoes! My pleasure to be a part of the team and send excessive emails/reminders + shout from the sidelines! Always rootin' for ya! See you for Spring Soccer!
Oh, yeah the Sunday didn't end there. We had to run out to Husband's game at 5pm about an hour away! We ended up to be 30 minutes late...we made it. They played this vicious team from Vashon Island. There was one guy (who was clearly not drinking water from his water bottle - he was tippin' a little somethin' somethin') who was not playing but apparently was their team shouter. Denise had already prepped me for his obnoxiousness. I thought we held it down cheerin' the boys on and keepin' their spirits up while this team plays like their Momma raised them with no manners! The last 15 minutes I lost it...yep, I lost my cool. I told him to shut up (I know, bad Mommy!) and asked him to take his dog and STEP. He was out of control and in need of a time out. He said "okay, Lady!" Um, really? Even the Ref made him stay behind the 50 yard line because he was walking up and down yelling! He was acting like a Kindergartner and my inner mom kicked in with a bit of loss of patience. You couldn't enjoy the game that is for fun with all the negative things he was saying not only about our team but his own! So, what the heck? Step, fool! Okay, enough ranting...
Even after their loss to this horrible team they posed for a team picture. I love them!! Husband has been playing with these guys for years. Most since, middle school through high school and then started to playing again these last 5 years...others they've picked on the way and have been great additions. Thank YOU, FC Internationale! See you in January! Oh, and don't worry...Husband has year long indoor soccer so he won't get cabin fever not playing outdoor. Or will he? :)
Denise, my picture didn't turn any better. Yours is probably better.

Ahahaha....we are super protective of the hubbies and their friends! That dude needed to get to steppin'! I could NOT believe him! Never seen anything like it!
I loved it when you went off on him! Oh! You said "will you just shut it!" not shut up, so don't be so hard on yourself! lol
P.S. A big thanks to the team for posing for the wifies!!
Love the speech. ha! it reminds me when my husband gave a speech to his team, starts calling out names & gets choked up. These guys have heart! Cool pic of the boys!
@denise: thank you...i felt a little guilty later yelling at him. which i immediately shook off because he was an @ss! :D
@julie: the boys and girls had a great season! they totally have heart!
Okay, so I'm catching up on your blog because I'm so behind and dang girl ... why are you making me all emotional with all your posts? :) I loved that you shared that little video of David's speech ... so sweet. You have got to be so proud, so grateful and just so in love with your adorable family. Thanks for sharing some of your sweet stories with us (especially those of us who are hormonal and pregnant and really enjoy the happy tears). :) I'm not crazy, just hormonal. :)
