Storm Trooper Receives a Trophy

Our day started off with a tummy ache. No, not me. Husband. He felt something coming on last night. But, pressed on because that's what we do. He woke up feeling like crap-ola. He pressed on and went to our 9:00am game (we have to be there at 8:30am) then to our 11:40am game then to our 1pm Storm Trooper Award Party. Yeah. What a day.

Diva. The fields were incredibly muddy. I have a love/hate relationship with muddy fields. I know it's fun but it's danger zone. The field we are usually on for Nana's game was too muddy and had big holes so it was unsafe for the U8ers. They moved us to the bigger field and "marked" it. Not well. But, it was outlined. Confused the heck out of all of us (or maybe just me). I ran on the field in the middle of the game to get Madi who ran out onto the field not realizing she was in a game.

The boy. And his handsome new haircut finally. Only Uncle Justin can cut his hair and it takes at least a month for us to get him to do it. Or that's how long I can tolerate him without a haircut. He was starting to get a bit on the shaggy side. All is well now...a cinnamon roll and a chance to stay up got the new 'do for me. Well worth it.

We had our Storm Trooper Party at Alfy's Pizza in their sport's room. We lucked out on getting the space. 50% off pizza and a room to contain them in = a happy Mommy. Grandpa Eddie came to see his Storm Trooper receive his award. The team has done so well this year and they are starting to gain skills. I love watching them and I love watching my husband and his best bud coach together. I'll be sad to see it end next fall when they are in U6 - it'll be split girls and boys - Pay and Dev will be separated. One more season, Coach Daddy and Coach Dao! We'll treasure it.

I didn't have my video on so I made him start over...that's right. I made him start over. Must capture all memories, right?

The two best coaches with my little man! Fran, C4's (Jules and Izzie's Momma) did these cute goodie bags for the kids. Sugar + Trophy = a happy Dev!
