Sleepover + Aunty Carla's Visit

Saturday ended up being quite the day. At our last soccer game (Isa's) Nana was invited over to Livi's (Livi plays on the Purple Flames with Nana) house who's sister, Sophie plays on the Tornadoes with Isa. Sophie ended up coming home with us from the grace of G.E. who dropped the girls off at our house after the game.

My girlfriend, Cristina called me after I found our van was dead and offered to bring some yummies along with her nieces who we rarely see. So, they came over ate dinner, ate some brownies Erica made and watched Mamma Mia. It was a nice wind down for the Tornado girls and they all played well with Cristina's nieces, Adri and Mari.

Here they are chillin' on our couch with Mamma Mia with bellies full of caramel brownies.

Sunday morning we were supposed to drop Erica off and go see Aunty Carla who is Grandma Kim's sister (they are 18 years apart) that was here from Michigan. Since our van was done-zo they came to see us yesterday. I love talking to Aunty Carla. We are both big readers so I love to pick her brain on what book she is reading. Her family is amazing and our kids just adore her. Thanks for coming up on a fly, Aunty Carla and Grandma Kim! We had a wonderful visit.

Husband had a game that afternoon and a welcome home party for a friend. We were all originally supposed to go but we sent the Daddy on his way and enjoyed a mellow Sunday at home. I had to say good bye to Erica as her family leaves south and they had plans with her the rest of her visit so Husband dropped her home on his way to his game in the southend.

I wish I could say he won his outdoor soccer game (his first time playing this season; he missed the very first game because he was coaching - it'll be the only one that conflicts with all the soccer games for the kids) but he lost. Ugh, FC Internationale needs a win! Next week, they're playing on G.E.'s HS stomping grounds so we're hoping it'll bring some luck for them!

That's nice that they were able to come to you. You guys had that entire day planned but it all involved a working van!
P.S. The hubbies need more players on their team (or at least more players to show up for the game!).
