is apparently how we like our weekends. We wanted Darb and O come visit before one last time this summer before their big High School Orientation tomorrow. So, we had them over this weekend.
We started our evening off with some Guitar Hero and pizza. :)

The triple
girly singers.

Guitar and Bass.

O is super addicted (as we all are now, thanks C6!) to Guitar Hero, last night Husband and O played until the wee hours of the morning...it's been non-stop since the C6 let us borrow it. :) We're
thinkin' Santa might be
bringin' that for all the G6
ers because it was a
blast!!

On Saturday evening the kids played "Kick the Can" - hide and seek/tag. Isa hurt her ankle running in the dark (probably wasn't the safest idea the daddies have had but none the less they were having fun until Isa got hurt). She had to miss her friend, Sophie's 10
th birthday bash and the G side's family BBQ!!! It was a bummer but her ankle is doing just fine...as you'll see below.

Sunday morning, I had a jewelry party by
Stella&Dot with Christine Santos. It was a ton of fun to browse jewelry and hang out with girlfriends.

Afterwards, we went to our 2
nd cousin's John and Sally's on the G side to hang out with Husband's great Aunt Janie who is 88 and is in town from San Diego. She is an awesome lady and I love hanging out with her. We will visit her tomorrow...so more pictures to come.
Grandpa Eddie let me play around with his fancy Cannon and I love love love love (did I say love?) this shot of Madi!! It was with his wide-angle lens and it's amazing!!!

Today, the zoo. Our zoo membership expires in September ::sigh:: and Darb + O rarely go to the zoo being teenagers and all so what an opportunity. They were amped for it! It'll be Denise and Sheree + 10 for this visit! :) Darb and O are great helpers and we did a record 3.5 hours getting through 80% (would you say, Denise?) of the zoo. Our lunch was short lived because we were attacked by a) bees and b) crows - one did a
poopy on poor Em's sandwich!
Sicknast! So, we ate fast and moved on. It was perfect timing because
Madi was slowly melting down into a 2 year old size fit. We made our escape and I took Darb to XXI to pick out a shirt for her HS Orientation while
Madi napped with O, Isa and Nana in the car (they were awake playing
DSes). I remember my HS Orientation so clearly; being scared
poopless from going to a small private school to a ginormous public school. They don't seem to have that fear at all. They are ready for this big leap into scary-ville.

See? So done! That's the look of "I'm over it!"

We almost made it out without an injury...poor Kay's toe started bleeding and both Denise and I were out of our
emergancy stash of
bandaids. So, we asked the chowder house for a
bandaid and they gave us one-size-fits-all. Poor thing!

Monkeys.
Now, we're home chillin' until Daddy comes home then him and O are going to hang out for some "guy" time. :) Sad that summer is coming to an end...

I think it was for sure at least 80% of the zoo in under 3/5 hrs!
I don't know if it was the teen-age helpers, or the wagon that made the difference?
But, it was a great time had by all!
I haven't been to the zoo in ages. So much fun! Sorry I missed the jewelry party, it looks like there were some great things. Feature what you bought, we want to see!
@denise: who knows, if my wagon wasn't a pain to get into my van i would totally bring it-i'll try to find a better way to get it in there. :)
@nikki: i will. it was a fun party - there are few favorites but the party isn't closed yet so i have yet to finish shopping. :)
Wow! BUSY! Sounds like fun though. I love the 'Im done' picture of Madi. So funny!
i feel like i was going to cry i laghed so much
heidi: yeah, madi is always "done" - it's all about her. :)
@isa: you laughed or you laghed, i'm confused. :) ♥♥♥ YOU!
