Comfort

This week has been comfort week and a week of gratitude. We have had a rough week which has caused my brain to over-fry and hence I probably seem like a space cadet. So, if I have seen you this week...yes, I am a space cadet and I apologize. :) I feel like summer just began and now...soccer started this week so summer is officially winding down. Always makes me sad because I enjoy the kids being home.

Plus Blogger hates me, it keeps saying weird ERROR messages that make me crazy and I am hoping I can post this without my autosaver. :)

Okay, on to more important things like...comfort. Comfort to me is family, friends and food. Depending on the situation not necessarily in that order. I was down about some family things and what do I do?

Bake. I made cookies and muffins (finally finished the blueberries!). Then, Tuesday I decided since it rained I needed soup. Not just one soup. Two. Mainly because the soup I wanted was baked potato soup and the kids looked at me with fear so I made them a chicken tortellini soup that pulls together effortlessly. Everyone was happy.

This soup I got off Our Best Bites. One of my favorite food blogs - thanks to Nikki for the original reference on her blog. This soup was just what I needed on Tuesday...and Wednesday for that matter. It was comfort. And, went down well afterwards with a cookie. :)

Toppings.

Soup D' Jour.

I feel comforted to have such a loving family and a wonderful husband. I know that I can count on them and they can count on me. I'm also lucky to have the best of friends who listen to me whine and are willingly to help out in an instant. Thank you family and friends!! Here's to family, friends and food.

With the weather cool down, soup was a great idea!
I am all about comfort food, and good friends and family!
Cheers!
