Tutu Making and some News

Tomorrow, Nana is turning 7. She had requested a suprise Fancy Nancy party. I told her the surprise would not happen (maybe another year - you can't request suprise parties, it's against the rules!) but Fancy Nancy would totally happen. I (of course) googled "how to make a tutu" and this You Tube clip came up. Nana and I made a trip to JoAnne's (I ♥ that place).

Viola! We created posh (that's fancy for nice) tutus. My partner in crime helped me, Denise let me get down in her craft room and helped make tutus with me. I was able to pound them out in no time. They are no-sew ribbon tutus. Nana loved the ribbon idea so we ran with it.

Hanging Tutus.

She was distracted by Little Einsteins.

My unwilling model (the girls had left for school already and you should wait to see them on Nana when I post her party pictures).

Okay, a little side note (or what should have been a separate posting) a really great thing happened; I was speaking with a Mom one day and she was stressing out because she needed to move and the stress of moving is stressful (blah blah). I'm listening to her and was thinking "we wanna move too. Is this speaking to me?" I come home and talk to Husband and he is like "well, email and inquire". The next day, I do. Months go by (literally) and the house is up for sale what we could offer in regards to this house was not their ideal. But, it's what we could do and if it worked out it would be super.

So with all my being I wanted this to happen because A. the house we're living in we grew out of when Isa turned 8 and Madi was born B. the air circulation and the constant sickness was partly due to us not being able to stay away from each other + poor circulation of air in the house (our house has a radiant heating system - old school style). We just sort of sat on it and figured if it happened it was meant to be. I should also mention that folks in our area don't move they die before they move. But, who am I kidding? I was obsessing over my hunch that it would work out. Then, they got a better offer so I knew it was over. I had learned to let it go and stop obsessing.

We got a call last Sunday that the deal fell through and she offered it to us. The possibilities. The stress. It is obviously more money ::sigh:: but the benefits are healthy family - more room for our large family. Husband swayed with a growing business and being super crazy busy at work he couldn't wrap his head around it until I said "let's hash it out". We did and now in a few weeks we're moving. Mind you I had my heart set on not getting this house (planned a camping trip July 12th and 31st) and not a single thing is packed. I have purged toys and junk. I'm well known for being able to "get rid of" and "sort". So, it's 1/2 the work that it should be but still. It's work. We moved here in June of 2006. There's lots of stuff that has been acquired since.

Letting our neighbors know was the hard part because they are truly wonderful. We aren't moving far (6 minutes away exactly) but we've also been waiting to hear from our lottery school and we also won't be with our Pink Panther soccer team. Our neighbors thought even if they get into their lottery school at least we'd still be here. Now we're moving and possibly won't be in the same school. That's hard on us too but it's all better changes for our family. Here's to change and a better us.
