Last night we tried a new cookie recipe. Tita and my Aunty Laarni have the best cookie recipe. That is one of my strongest memories going over their house...the cookies. So, watching her post pictures online inspired me to make some cookies. We did some Thick and Chewy Cookies that turned out super yummy. I like the size. They're bite size...which means eating more is justified, right?

The kids and I have been on a baking spree all week. Gingerbread House, cookies, panackes (which isn't really baking but stirring is involved so Dev's all over it)...we've been in this house for 3 days and it's starting to make them a bit crazy so I pacify them with food. Isa who got to go to her Christmas party (thanks for Kendie's Momma)so she isn't as wound up. Today I wanted to be better at channelling their energy. I decided we were going to make French Breakfast Puffs. So, Dev helped mix, Isa helped with combining (my electric mixer went out a couple days ago...that sucks when you're on a baking spree) and Nana covered them with cinnamon and sugar. Daddy helped eat them.
Tonight, Daddy is supposed to be making Pasties. It's a G.G. recipe that he loves so dearly. If it turns out well, we'll have to make some more for Uncle Dan and G.E. who I'm sure have been missing G.G.'s Pasties.
