For instance: they created Mail. They designated the play kitchen as a Mail Center and each person got a piece of the kitchen as their mailbox (ie the freezer was Isa's, the dishwasher was Nana's and the oven was Dev's mailbox). They would send each other Christmas Cards and no one was allowed to look at each other's special surprise. 100 pieces of paper later the game was over. Literally...Daddy gave them recycle duty as well.
Another imaginary scene they created was a Water Bed made out of blankets and pillows. Then, they pretending to be animals hibernating for the Winter. Kendie spent the night last night and they even invited Nana to stay with them through the night because they were having so much fun. Dev was exiled to our bed. Him and I read for 3 hours in bed...I read to him (25 books later...no joke) and then he read on his own perfectly content in silence. Every now and then he'd get up to torment Madi or the girls in Isa's Room. But all in all he was by my side.
Speaking of long reading stints, my girlfriend and her Husband (D&D) came by to drop off our DVD player her Husband fixed for us and to drop off Book 3 of Twilight yesterday afternoon, I finished it this evening all 620 pages. Soooo good, I can not wait for Book 4. Dev stayed with me for another 3 hours in my bed, reading-playing with his trains/cars-eating crackers/cookies on Daddy's side of the bed. Just a little lovey in bed with me. It was nice. The girls were in the snow and Madi was napping. Daddy was working hard on his Pasties (as mentioned in below Post). We ran out of flour and had to bum from the neighbors (thanks, Nora!) with the baking spree I was on yesterday and the evening before. Sorry to say though, there isn't any leftover Pasties! But, we will be making more soon. Isa brought to our attention that we hadn't made them since she was in Kindergarten. Many moons ago...so we promised the kids we'd make more of an effort to make them more often. Daddy is determined to perfect the pie crust and recipe. I'm rootin' for him. I'm hoping I can work with the crust more because that's the key to these delights.
His Masterpiece. I couldn't get a proper shot because I had a crying and hungry baby pulling + pushing on my legs. Sorry for the crooked horribly lit shot. But you get it's justice. Daddy did a fantastic job.
A glimpse of the snow after the kids had been playing in it. I convinced Dev to stay inside and snuggle with Mommy while the big girls played in the snow. We've enjoyed Daddy's forced vacation but I think he's ready to back. Our bathroom is torn apart (he started it before the snow) and today he was in the attic trying to fix ducting. I guess a Daddy's work is never done.

That mail game sounds like so much fun. I'll have to tell the girls about it. Thanks for the heads up on the waisted paper though, I'll have to cut some into smaller pieces for them to "mail".
Tell David the pasty looks super Yummy!
