PCC Field Trip with the Co-Op

Dev, Pay-Pay, Livi and Maya at Pcc eating their Fruit Pack.
Today we had a field trip to PCC Natural Market with our Co-Op. Our original Field Trip Coordinator for our class had to drop out at the very last second-conflicts with younger sibling babysitter. So, the 3's Coordinator (Denise) and I stepped up and took it on. We have our field trips planned and confirmed one each month except for November we booked two. I'm excited mainly to see the Polar Bear Exhibit at the Burke Museum-I hear it's phenomenal so if you get a chance GO (kids under 4 are FREE).
  • September: PCC Tour
  • October: The Farm
  • November: Kids N Clay
  • November: Fire Station
  • December: Burke Museum Arctic Ecology Tour
  • January: Everett Children’s Museum
  • February: Reptile Farm
  • March: : Kangaroo Farm
  • April: Fairbank Farm
  • May: Ferry Ride to Kingston

We are so excited for the field trips to come. But, today was our trial run and the kids did great. We did the tour...saw the cooks in the back making the most delicious stuff (I heart their Chicken Salad), visited the back stock room where a truck was unloading boxes of food, went to the produce department where they gave each kid a Fruit Pack filled with fruit to take home and lastly we played on the registers!! That was the most anticipated part. Our guide, Miss Kerry was so smart to save that last because that was like over stimulation then you can see the kids' faces go from super excited to hungry and tired. It was a successful field trip and we got out a bit early to take Madi home for her nappy.
