is my two front teeth or in this case one front tooth. Yes, folks another member of the G6 is losing her teeth. Now, usually you lose the bottom first. But, if you know our Nana it's her rules-she marches to the beat of her own drum. After watching Isa lose 8 (yes, she keeps track of the amount Isa is losing) she was soooo ready for this next step in growing up. Husband did the close up chopping off her forehead. But, hey...look at the hole. She was SO proud that day. Now, I have to back up this all happened on Tuesday so it's been all of 3 days. She has stopped people at the grocery store, her school (as we are rushing to get her to class), ballet and tap basically any one who will listen. We called Grandpa, Grandma S. (sorry, no hyperlink for her-she's camera shy) and Grandma K. Seeing some thing like this (with all the excitement and anticipation of that next tooth) is definitely better than just blabbing about it on the phone.
Anyway, another day in the life of G6. We have some exciting days let me tell you. Well, I realized in my last blog I didn't quite get in enough about me. And, although I am a hard working Mom (woot woot! Nothing like tooting your own horn!). I am also a student at the wonderful University of Washington. I think I will be a student there for...EVER. I've been chipping away at my degree in Psychology. It's a Graduate continuation program I got myself into awhile ago and I like it because it's flexible but at my rate I will be there for...EVER. I wanted to recommend some excellent reading for those Moms and Pops out there.
By far one of the most intriguing books on genders I've read. Please if you have boys and girls read it, even if you don't read it anyway. Insightful stuff.
So, in closing I should be updating myself and the Husband as well as our G6. The Husband has decided to start his own construction business. It's in it's very early stages of planning but I'm thinking the word will be out by 2008. He is tickled about it but hides it well. Wonderful is what I say. He has such a knack (not that he was expecting to ever go this route) for it. His work is amazing (not just because I'm his biggest fan either). So, I'm extremely happy about this new adventure. If you know my Husband, you know that businesses are his specialty. He has so many great ideas and out of all of them...this feels right. And, I've never seen him so proud of himself. That's my favorite part-a craft that he's great at and is proud of. I'm sold. Now, I must tend to the cranky baby.
