Little Minion Soccer

Saturday mornings are awesome. Actually, Saturdays are awesome. It's soccer from sun up to sun down. Literally. We got home from Daddy's game at 10:30pm and we left for Isa's game (or rather Daddy did, we met them there at game start time) 8:10am. We had a 9am, 11:20am, 1pm, 3:40pm and a 7:30pm *but Daddy had to be at his game by 6:30pm so we had 45 minutes to pack dinner and hit the freeway.

Balls, anyone?

Anyway, we love it. Although, this Saturday there had to be a full moon. Tsunami lost their 9am game which for some reason out of all the pictures I could have took, I happened to catch Isa's injury. She twisted her knee - straining it and was unable to play after the 1st quarter. She plays Sweeper/Stopper so her role is pretty important and she felt horrible letting her team down. My poor baby is tough and was fine by that afternoon.

Her friend, Anna in red on the Panthers got the ball. Isa tackled her and Anna fell. Isa went to help her up and rolled her foot on the ball causing her to twist her knee a bit. Sad. She was out for the rest of the game. She tried to run on it but she couldn't so she kept stretching it out all day and by the afternoon it felt much better.

A trooper. They all were but I was most impressed by the little ones. It's hard shuffling but they did a great job. I suppose it's 2nd nature to them by now.

Madi had a BYE last week so the Minions played this week. What's a Minion?

And, guess who played? Actually played. Yeah, you'll never guess.

She ran too. And, played. Played. She had so much fun. I'm so happy to see her enjoying it. It started to sprinkle a bit but for the most part it was dry.

Ninjas won. Dev scored a goal and played some goalie. Ninjas did great!

The boys won. The girls lost. I played games with Madi and Dev during Nana's game or helped them play so I didn't many pictures of Nana but she played well! They lost 0-1 as did Isa their lost was 0-1. The Ninjas won...but I forget the score because technically we're not supposed to keep score and Daddy won 3-4 by the luck of PKs (yes, two...undeservingly really but they won and Daddy had a great goal!). It was pouring down rain by the time we hit the south end so no pictures of that as we were in the car watching him play - thankfully his field was right by the parking lot so we could watch.

5 games and 12+ hours later we were snuggled in our beds ready to sleep in Sunday morning.
