VooDoo Doughnuts + Mother's Day

WOW, what a weekend! Mother's Day was relaxing...my Mother-in-Law, Grandma Kim had the kiddies over night Saturday. We brought over lunch and had a relaxing afternoon then over to my mom's later that afternoon for an early dinner.

I loved every minute of my birthday...literally. Mother's Day was more of the same. I felt very loved. Not a moment went by that I wasn't thankful, happy and feeling grateful for what I have and who is in my life.

Truly.

Mother's Day I woke up like a crack head wanting to see my children. I loved being away in Portland but 5am came and I really wanted to see my babies. Not waking up to someone coming into our bed to cuddle or giggling with each other in their rooms (I don't miss when they wake up fighting...) so I was ready to go. I wanted to make sure we got to our last stop in a jiffy. I heard the line can be ridiculously long.

When we were downtown Portland we saw the 22 Broadway Voodoo Doughnuts...closed. I don't give up easily, I spotted the other address. 1501 SE (which really is NE) Davis. I was really obsessed with the number and street SE and NE wasn't a concern but clearly...it makes a difference. I'll explain why later...

So, after a quick search around the Lloyd Center area we came to our destination.

We stood in line. Drooling over the menu...

Nice way to die...coffin full of doughnuts, YES PLEASE!

The place was interesting to say the least...I wanted to try the vegan doughnuts. But, it was so slammed it was better to say 3 dozen voodoo and 1 dozen classic and call it good. I don't mind making others wait but my partner in crime isn't not one to make others wait. So...I went for the easy route.

Here we go, doughnut delivery!

Gluttony. That is all.
