A Hip Hop, A Hibbbity Hop!

Easter...just like Christmas comes and goes in a blink! I always am left feeling like I didn't capture enough moments or that I get to wrapped in "tasks".

Well, the kids were in a sugar coma come Monday morning but they had the best time! They had high expectations after seeing Hop. Shoot, I had expectations! All that candy...I really despise the amount of candy consumed on this holiday. I'd like to say "once a year" but it never is...although it is once a year that I say they can have a piece of candy with breakfast. Sick, isn't it?

Smurfs...a classic. No child should go with out it.

YAY! Creationary!

What the Easter bunny just dropped and left? He didn't say "hi"? I told Madi, "he's a busy bunny he has to deliver all over the world...except China according to Hop".

Bananagrams!

We hosted brunch for the G side.

Blueberry Scones from scratch.

What's Easter without Trader Joe's malted eggs and their bunny tummy gummies with a side of cream puffs?

My egg scramble...this was an after thought after we realized Kae wasn't having her baby that weekend and I would be "hosting" the food too. This is so easy though!
*brown sausage (drain)
*add potatoes o'brien (I didn't have any so it was Alexa's Oven Potatoes, chopped peppers and onions thrown together)
*stir about 8 eggs and pour it over sausage and potatoes
*cover with cheese
*bake at 375 degrees for an hour

This is a french toast bake. My first time making it, my suggestion is to just pour the egg mixture so that it absorbs into the bread - not so much that there is excess because it can be a soggy mushy mess that isn't appealing to eat. Just saying...the top layer was da bomb though! AND, this is the last day of use for my oval baker...it had a hair line crack and friggin' spilled all over my oven so curse you sticky burnt praline topping!

Funeral Potatoes. Just try them...cheese, potatoes - enough said.

Grandpa Eddie made a ham that isn't posted but man, it was delicious! Grandma Kim brought her famous Deviled Eggs and strawberries. It was a meal that left you STUFFED. Everyone spread out and watched Tangled. Our favorite movie.

The G side cleared out and we jetted out for Easter at my Mom's house.
Kaylia, my niece - love her!

Kaydalin, my niece waiting for the sugar fest to begin.

Jaydes, my nephew...I can't figure out why I can't get them to smile and look at the camera. They must know their Aunty's crazy...it's too soon for them to catch on!

The kids + some ready to hunt for eggs! And the largest of the children...my 26 year old brother, JJ. He was on a serious mission!

Madi did a really good job finding eggs! She found $1.75 and she was so stoked!

Isa counting her goods...hoping to get 1 of the 2 $20 eggs.

HA! Cousin Luc found the $20...the other $20 was found by a family friend.

Dev was on a mission.

My bunny. I forgot out easter baskets, how could I have forgotten!? Argh...the grocery bags worked great and surprisingly can hold eggs too! :)

My cousin, Livi was on a mission too. Those 5/6 year olds really wanted the cash!

Now...still cleaning. It never ends. Hope you had a great Easter!
