Gluttony

Warning: Do not read if you're hungry. SERIOUSLY.
First stop...Homegrown. I've been feeling pretty good...so why not eat my heart's desire?

I went with Tita who introduced me to this place and we decided 2nd time around we should order food not our favorite BLUFFERNUTTER. Yeah, check that out on the menu. It's good for lunch or dessert but not dinner. Which is what we had. Dinner.

Oh, the choices!

She went with the Meatloaf BLT: spicy jalapeno meatloaf made with thundering hooves ground chuck, raw-milk white cheddar*, zoe's bacon, horseradish dijon, hazelnut romesco†, tomato + mixed greens served hot on toasted french or wholegrain. MINUS the romesco as she has a severe nut allergy.

Can't forget the herbed fries with Sage Aioli. :)

I on the other hand do not have a nut allergy and went for it. Crab Cake, Bacon + Avocado: dungeness crab cake, zoe's bacon, avocado, mixed greens, hazelnut romesco† + chimichurri served hot on a toasted sesame roll.

Then, we walked to Starbucks for coffee and red velvet whoopie pies. Yoga almost didn't make sense that day considering we ate our weight in food. :)

Then, Yellow Leaf. FYI this was not the same day. I do have some restraint when it comes to food, you know. :) PS Denise, these are not to go cupcakes. There is a protocol when consuming such deliciousness. Rule 1: must be consumed at the store. Rule 2: must have more and more reasons to come back. Dennis and I are starting a food blog for fun. Made up of food places and things we bake (or in his case cook). SO this was at the top of his list...I don't know why we didn't take a picture together.

Dennis' wife, Kelli (remember them?)came with us and baby Isaiah was one happy guy after his Lime Cheesecake Cupcake.

Isa's Chocolate Peanut Butter and BACON cupcake and my Strawberry and Earl Grey Cupcake (my new favorite cupcake - I think I said that last time too). Thanks for hookin' it up, Tony (the owner - he is SO NICE! He can chat it up for hours! ♥ him!).

Tony and his cupcakes. Mike is his co-owner but he was out on deliveries. They are the nicest guys!

Pomegranate White Tea. YUM.

Lime Cheesecake, Lemon Lavender and Pancake and Bacon Cupcakes. Need I say more?

Denny (Dennis - my blogging partner) sliced them up - you can see the beauty of the cupcakes! The Lime Cheesecake even had a cookie bottom.

I'd really like to try the Caramel Macchiato Cupcake.

Madi had a red velvet. Camie came after she got off work on her way home (she just happened to call - it was destined for her to have a cupcake!) and she got Chocolate Almond Cupcake + got us a red velvet frappe to share...it was overload for us so Isa finished it off. Man, everything is delicious - we wanna try their Toddy. I'm a huge Toddy fan.

They are the only company around that uses UN bleached liners. I use them all the time when I bake - other liners take FOREVER to biodergrade. So, I recommend them plus the sponge releases easily from those liners (more bang for your buck!).

Denny and Kelli have never had Trophy Cupcakes. Insane, right? They are Cupcake Royale fans but I think I've converted them. They had Red Velvet, Hummingbird (my personal favorite!) and Triple Coconut.
