Tap, Tap...

I promised you blog productivity and I bring you nothing for a day. What is with me?! Well, Tuesday was super busy. It was the first day of Chess Club. The coach I work with from Chess4Life is great but he was lost. Like at another school lost.

Yeah, that was fun. I had about 10 more students than what was on my roster. I know where the pieces move and on a good day I might win a match but really? I'm a Coordinator and support him with any behavioral issues. We have each kids sign an etiquette form with their parent just so that every child is on the same page but chess is intense. That's right, it's intense. And, sometimes there are tears. Lots. So, the form is most necessary.

Well, Coach H. didn't arrive until 4:40pm...so for 40 minutes I was coaching with out chess pieces.. Yep, that's right - he had the chess pieces and the instruction videos. I was entertaining. I talked about the pieces and went over the etiquette sheet - you know, bore them to tears about formalities. They were all very well behaved and eager to listen to what I had to say. You're shocked. Me too. Me too.

What I'm getting at - no pictures. I was SO determined to take pictures but by the time Coach H. arrived I had parents flinging money and questions at me. Next week promise. Nana and cousin, Luc are in Chess Club together - Isa will come in some days but really because of her Oliver! play she won't be around much. Nana on the other hand is lovin' her some chess. SO EXCITING. She is so proud of her new "sport". Because Momma, you know that Chess is a sport because you use your brain. You can sweat from that. Thinking as a sport I like it. :) It's fun her cousin, Luc is in there so they can play together at family events.

Isa had play practice until late that evening but I pulled her out of play practice because Daddy wasn't going to get there on time and I had to get the little ones. Her director was understanding...I snuck in the mandatory parent meeting for Oliver! to hear a snip-it of what I needed to know then I was off to get cousin, Luc to his mom and to swoop up Dev and Madi.

Denise watched my little ones - even though one is coming down with a little something. :( So, I could have a productive day (and thankfully since I pretty much ran it that session) at Chess Club. Woot Woot for good friends!

Today, was gymnastics. Or as Dev says JERM-nastics. Miss Pay getting a coconut from the tree. SRSLY. How cute is this game? Reaching up with your toes to get your coconut? I love Miss Marilyn. She is one fun teacher!

Pay was leader today so she got the special privilege of being first in line! Very exciting role for her. She was so proud walking around from station to station being first. Madi and I got there on time but gymnastics always runs late so we got to take pictures. For the first time finally, Madi actually sat down and watched instead of trying to escape from me so she can join in the gymnastics fun.

My monkey boy! He loves gymnastics and swung up so quickly to snag his coconut!

Lucky Pay got to be first on the rope.

My Mister last week climbed to the top of this rope...Denise informed me (she picked them up last week so I missed it!). What a monkey!! Miss Marilyn asked him let go and ring the bell at the top but he refused - he is like that - if he isn't comfortable he has no problem telling you "no".

Madi was asked to join in but she didn't. She was being shy...this recently started. She hides her face with her arm and tugs on my leg when people talk to her and she isn't comfortable. I should note that Dev was completely a BIG BROTHER with Madi. Telling her to sit by him and that Dev Dev would take care of her until Miss Marilyn comes around put stamps on them. How sweet? Rare and sweet. ANOTHER note: Pay is watching herself in the mirror (I think it's hilarious that she is checking herself out while dancing!).

That video is too funny! She is always looking in the mirror!
Dev really is a monkey boy. He is the only one in the class that can climb the rope to the top!
Thanks for carpooling with me!
