June and I have made this little tradition of going to tea twice a year. Once around our birthdays and again during the holidays. We went to Queen Mary's for their Holiday High Tea. I enjoyed Winter Wonderland and I think she had Partridge in a Pear. Both were yummy yummy.
June surprised me - got me this book...for reals? I love PW!! I have made many of her delights. :) Visit her blog if you haven't before...but I'm pretty sure I've linked you many times. Check out how she makes steak...you will drool then go out to get a steak just to make it. No lie. The woman speaks to my hearty soul.

Back to tea...
Um, check out that spread. It doesn't look like a lot but it SO is - we never can conquer dessert. I usually bring it home and Husband devours the yummies when I walk in the door.
Buds since daycare days!
My day went not as planned to say the least...let's just say the cards didn't fall where they should have and I was a stress monster because of it. I was on my way to get my babies - until I thought I could run one more errand and fix my cell phone. But, I locked my keys in my car. Yes, locked in my car. I called my friend, Tina to have her call AAA to help me because my cell phone battery was bad - like it will not charge bad which was why I was at the store. I was actually trying to hook up a new phone when I mistakenly locked my keys in the car. Great, right? The last person I wanted to bother was Husband, I knew he had work stuff to do and was at a practice game for soccer - AAA came and saved the day.
I picked up the kids. Finally. Got Isa to Izzie's 10th birthday party at a local hotel and am now ready for bed...whew! What a weekend - 'Tis the Season!

That is a great tradition! Everything looks so yummy, and it's so nice to see a photo of you!
You know I am a fan of high tea, so I must ask you.... why not eat the desserts first and bring the sandwiches home to the fam??
@nikki: thanks!
@denise: hmmm, never thought of that - DUH! :) we have yet to do high tea together - what the heck?
Denise you are one smart lady! Whoever made up that rule that desert is last anyways...I think we should definitely modify that one! =-)
