The girls have started a new school and its going fabulously. They love their teachers, they love their new friends and I love that they are so happy. It makes me comforted as a mother to see them comfortable in a new situation. I was worried about them switching schools, for Isa this will be her 3rd but am confident that the decision was precisely right for our clan.
Isa has started violin and working hard at it. The girls have a hectic schedule due to our no van situation. We are walking home (taking a lovely 30 minutes there and 45 to get back or relying on friends - thank you, C6 and C4!!). G.E. worked on our van (we are so lucky he could do that for us) and it ran its last lap - it would cost way more than its worth to fix so we are shopping for a new van. I did some researching online but G.E. and Husband are going to have to head into the shark bowl to look at some. It's hard to see or know just online.
Lets move back to cheerful things - FALL! I love how fall is beautiful outside but crisp. It's the best to take walks (short distant walks) when it's crisp outside as Madi and I did yesterday after her nap. Then when I walk or drive I often think of a warm treat because it is chilly and coming inside you just want that special yummy something to warm your insides up. Every year, I get a Pumpkin Spice Latte (because I rarely change from vanilla lattes) to say I had it and I enjoy every drop. Anything with whipped cream on top...c'mon, how can you go wrong there?

Another thing, I'm so diggin' right now is this book club I joined. Shealynn is known in the craft world for her beautifully made camera straps but she talks a lot about books and her family in her blog and created this book club. Denise hipped me to it and suggested maybe this the route to go for book club as our husbands don't get home from work on time for us to gather anywhere else. Especially with soccer...this has worked out lovely. We meet once a week on Twitter and I installed Tweetdeck so I could talk to them through our tweets. I had to create another Twitter account just for the book club because I took my friends wall space (again, sorry - friends!). Shealynn used Ustream so she could talk to us while we tweeted to her. I know, super confusing but it was awesome to hear her response and she gets our tweets within seconds so she can respond quickly. It was a lot of fun. We chatted about our book Shiver (highly recommend if you're looking for a curl up read this month). I'm excited to read what's next 13 Reasons Why - Shiver was for the whole month of October but since most of us finished she's giving us another book. :)
You should totally join...yes, YOU.

My next favorite thing are my kids at soccer games. They are doing well - Nana has had a hard time adjusting to her schedule so those early games on Saturday can kick her little bottom but she is pushing through and loves it. Isa is doing well - their "new" team is doing well. Husband started coaching with them just this year and we are ranked 2nd in our league. So, they are doing amazingly. Dev is rockin' out there this year. He literally brings tears to my eyes when I see his little body scoring goals - yes, goals as in more than one as in he's a SUPERSTAR! Coach Dao and Coach Daddy are so proud of him. We are proud of all our soccer superstars!!
The little one below...she is my little roamer. She normally just roams around the field - she tugs on Grandpa Eddie until he follows her or me...or she hangs out on Daddy's shoulders while he coaches. Whatev. That's our girl she just marches to the beat of her drum and won't take any suggestions or requests (her way or the highway). We love that about her but its a little wearing at times. :)

Soccer tunnels...I love how Isa still loves to run through the tunnel. I love how she wants to be celebrated for her hard work. I'm glad she isn't shying away from it or thinks that she is too old for it. For all I care she could be in U18 and run underneath my arms...maybe not but you get what I mean. This time of year is so fun with soccer games, school and fun kid holidays.

Yes, I mean Halloween. We already know Dev is Darth. He has his red lightsaber because he argued me into succumbing. He argued that a blue lightsaber will not do. Darth has red. Why does he have red? Because he's on the darkside so if he has blue then he won't be on the darkside therefore won't be Darth. And, sadly that's how he said it. SO, he has a red one. Anyway, Isa's insistent on being a Taylor Swift Zombie from a paraody she watched on YouTube with her friends (at our house). Nana is being a girl pirate (a hand-me-down costume from Isa 2 years ago). Madi has plans on being some sort of princess from our dress up bin. :) I hope she's staying home cuddling up with me and hand out candy but Husband has plans to take her out for a little while; bring her (and probably Dev) back and then get down for some real trick or treating with Nana and Isa. Like I said, I love fall. The best season.
