Today is the girls' Jog A Thon at their new school. Seaview (their old school) had Jog A Thons too but this will be the first year I won't be able to go due to our van being out of commission. I had signed up to count laps for both classes and told them Monday that I was not going to be able to do it. Which works out anyway because Nana, Madi and I had the case of the yuckies (Madi and I still are processing all kinds of gunk). I packed them with 2 water bottles and cashews for energy. So, they are set to go. :)
The girls are super excited and motivated to run today and meet the school's goal so they can see their vice-principal shave his head and their principal die her hair. Nana thinks it's hilarious!!
I'll be thinking of them and hoping they reach their goals. Nana's was 10 but she said 8 is better because they're way bigger laps than Seaview but then she proceeded to say "I'll just run until its over". I love her perseverance. Isa isn't that thrilled about running (in the rain) but she loves the idea of helping out her school. She is definitely getting to the age where she is considering other factors instead of the pure fun.
Thanks to all family and friends who are supporting our girls' school! They are so proud to be a part of it and will be working hard today.
On a side note: Isa has decided to play the violin. She is bringing it home today and is excited to start her very first day in Orchestra. She wanted to play string to help her with Guitar Hero and for her future guitar lessons. Everyone she knows who rocks at Guitar Hero plays a string instrument - besides Haley who just rocks. We love that she wants to play string and are looking forward to many concerts.

Oh man, get your earplugs. I remember being frusterated with the violin because no one wanted to listen to me practice...
ear plugs we have plenty of - that is funny you said that because david said "are we ready to hear her practice?" and i said "of course!!" sooooo, maybe not?!! it'll be a fun ride. :)
