Soccer Madness

It's the start of crazy soccer weekends. This is both a fun time and a run-around-like-crazy-people time. Husband is coaching 3 teams this season and playing on 2 himself. It's a passion he has for the game and the kids love to have their Daddy as their coach. You know the saying if you want something right do it yourself - yeah, he's taking that term literally with his kids' teams. This team has done well so far this season (all 3 games). I had a hard time watching the last one because it was raining but I think we lost our game against the Firecrakers but we've won the other two and we are the newest team on the league that's pretty darn good.

It says a lot about the coaching - 5 girls on our team (I think it's 5) have played together in another league and moved over to Sno-King with their Coach Mike who is co-coaching with Husband.

GO TORNADOES!

Strategy planning with the coaches.

Shinguard check.

Dev's game was next. He is a ball full of soccer energy this season. Spring he was warming up to it all but this season it's ON. He is lovin' soccer and being a team player. He looks forward to his games instead of throwing a fit like last fall. It makes his Daddy proud.

He was vogue-ing for me. I laughed and my camera slipped a bit so the shot is off. :) They are, of course, the Storm Troopers. Not hard to think of who chose that name!

They were playing shark and minnows. The coaches are the sharks trying to get the minnows (the kids); they have to dribble around their coaches to make it to the other side without being eaten up and become a shark themselves. Dev loves this game (all them do, I think).

Coach trying to get them to spread out...I like how well they listen. Te-hee!

I have videos of Nana but I can not figure out how to upload them off my Flip Video. So, if you have one - can you clue me in? I'm going to research this after I blog. So, I'll be updating Nana later. :)

I love how their shin guards take up most of their legs. Adorable.
