During this weekend with the C6 girls birthdays, I promised - the oldest - Haley who was celebrating with 4 girlfriends of hers that evening for a sleepover as an additional gift we would take her sissies for the night so that she could hang with her friends without her sisters around being
little sisters.
My kids loved it. They came over ate dinner and we waited for Daddy to get home from spending the evening with Aunty Janie to make a fire for s'mores. Yes, my husband does not trust me with fire and with 7 kids you just need an extra hand safety wise. The kids kept themselves busy, they watched
Annie (our kids along with the C6 love musicals - they watched Mama Mia too, yes even Dev). When the movie was over they played orphan animals - Nana and Em were the Miss Hannigan doggies bossing around the kitties who were played by Dev, Pay and Madi. Telling them to clean up and get in their cages; it was pretty funny to listen too.
But then they settled down...

They were on the couch for an hour until Husband got home, reading. Serious reading just like this. I thought it was a sweet thing. They sibling swapped and read to them.

These two have a love/hate relationship and I ♥ed that Em read to him.
Then, Husband came and immediately got the fire going for the kiddies to have s'mores. :) It was awesome!! Pay and Dev were already in PJs but they threw on sweatshirts and were ready to get down. I stayed out for a bit but went inside to cuddle up with Madi and read.

Anticipation of roasting the 'mallows.

Kay and Isa waiting for s'mores.

I really didn't think it was that cold but they kids wanted to wear their big hoodies!

The spread...

Denise, I know you love when the kids do their goofy smile but I think it's funny/cute! Even Isa got into it although I think I've seen better goofy smiles from her.

Mmm...

Husband's perfectly roasted 'mallows. Whatever, I'm too impatient I just burn mine more often than not.

Is it good, Isa? :)

That's what summer is for roasting and hangin' out with friends. I'm hanging on to our last few days with summer and kids before the school madness begins.
