Sand in Your Pants Kinda Day

I had my sister and brother, Gabby and Ty from my Mom's side (Darb and O are from my dad's side, confusing - I know) today and we went to the beach. FUN!!! The C6 joined us and invited their friend, Isabel. It was good times with 11 kids...yes, I said 11.

We let them exert some energy and you know what? Today they took us up on that offer. They had a major sand fight and lots of running around between all the older kids. It was fun and the kids were pretty good, no tears were shed. They all played and understood it was all in good fun.

Isabel, Haley, Gabby, Isa and Madi playing around in the water!

Isa was having a rough day today. I think she was a bit on the tired side so she was not happy about the sand in her toe that got cut earlier today at the park. My poor girl, she is normally a pretty happy spirited girl so to see her down is rare and sad. Denise felt bad for her and helped her with her bandaid. The great thing about being together as Moms is our kids benefit from having another "mom" around to sort of baby them when their mom is not feeling as sympathetic! Thanks, Denise for being my Mom in Crime! :)

On the other hand she was having a great day. Her and Em played their games on the beach. They crack me up because they'll play together all day and be connected at the hip but then at the beach they usually ride solo in their own land. Today was different, Nana said they played a game like AquaMarine and Annie put together. They get into their imaginary games so much that we question if they are actually talking to each other or themselves??! As long as their happy playing whatever it is, I suppose we don't need to get it fully.

We saw the almost birthday boy, Liam at the beach today! What a treat!! Dev, Liam and his brother, Logan played Star Wars on the beach until they had to leave. They really got into their imaginary light sabers and bad guys. It was cute to see him getting to play with boys.

Them posing together.

Another great day at the beach...still sad to see it end soon. I have blogged a ton tonight so as I say "just keep swimming" or "just keep reading". :)

Thanks for inviting us to hang at the beach with you! We had so much fun (even though it was high tide!).
