Smoldering

Dear Sun,
I'm at peace with you. You win. You baked me. You fried me. You made me melt into a puddle of momminess. I won't yell at you. I won't fake slap you. I'm just so very thankful I made it through this heat. PNWners are not made for this kind of heat so thanks for the blast of sun but we're over it. We want our regular 70-80 degree summer weather. Okay? So, peace out.

Signed,
Still Hot Momma of the G6ers.

Okay, so the last weekend my girlies went to Silver Lake in Longview with Husband's Momma, Grandma Kim and her husband, Grandpa Wade. Not to be confused with the Silver Lake I take the kiddies to. They have a 5th Wheel Trailer that they keep up there in the summer for a little escape. The girls have gone every summer since they got it (well, Isa has this is Nana's 2nd summer there) and seem to love it!! We've stayed once and it is a peaceful escape. Grandma Kim sent me these pictures via email so I could live vicariously through the photos and see their happy faces!!

Roasting...none other than marshmallows for their s'mores.

Oh how my kids enjoy these s'mores...special treats only for camping!!

On Sunday my parents, youngest brother, Ty and my youngest sister, Gabby came over to our new house for the first time and brought my Grandma. Gabby and Ty stayed over for a couple nights and we beached it during the heat. It was a nice stay - they are always very helpful with Madi and Dev.

The girls piling on top of each other for a group photo; I interrupted their game of Uno.

Gabby trying to get Madi to cooperate for a picture together...nice try, Gab!!

Today was the hottest day in record for the year (probably decade) 100+degrees. We escaped over to PCC to eat lunch and then hung out at Aunty Lori's house with the AC. So delightful, then the kids started to get tired so we made an escape before the countdown to meltdown. On the way home I picked up the pizza I ordered for dinner at PCC earlier that afternoon. Now it's a cozy 86 degrees in my house. When I say cozy I mean not cozy but blazing hot, just so you get my sarcasm there. Stay classy (and cool), Washingtonians.
