Longest Home Stretch Ever

We are almost there...we move some things this weekend and we are getting down to necessities. Husband has asked for some things and I say "oops, it's packed!" But we are almost there...eating everything out of the fridge so we have bare minimum to carry over. At this point living like this makes me feel "insane in the membrane" (watch the video and picture me walking around the house singing the only 4 words I can understand "insane in the membrane").

We are moving a total of a mile so to me it's like "do I pack the dishes or just throw them in an open box?" because those are the things we'll use immediately. That is the kids' biggest worry...are we going to be able to eat? Hello?? When have we ever deprived you of food, yes we will eat on plates with silverware. We've moved before but the kids are older and understand a bit more. They feed off the Isa's excitement because Isa really gets it. Dev's biggest worry consist of "are my legos staying here or going?" and for the umpteenth time I answer "they're coming."

Dev and Madi have a cold they're battling so I'm praying that I stay healthy and make it through this week and next week. Then, I can relax and have a super time enjoying our new home and getting ready for fun things to come!

Yes, I have color coded the boxes all except for the kitchen stuff. That's the easiest to guess where it should go, so no color for it is needed.

After the move comes more fun stuff!
  • July 4th parade @ 10am - we weren't sure if we were going to go, but we are to watch. Every year we have been in it so it'll be nice to watch it for a change. We don't move on this day but we move some big stuff on the 5th.
  • July 10th the Seussical is going to be in Edmonds and our school friends will be in it so we are going opening night.
  • July 11th the Dragon Boat races with the C6; they go every year and have invited us. We hope to go but it's the day before we leave for...
  • ORCAS ISLAND! We are camping at Moran Park for 2 nights. We are so excited! The kids are way pumped to go to their "island". We drive for an hour and take a ferry over. Very exciting stuff for our kiddies! We are going with the C6 so it'll be 8 kids 4 adults but a whole lot of fun!
  • July 19th my brother and sister (Darb and O) come to hang with us for a three days! I think I literally see them once a year. So, I'm excited to have them over!
  • July 31st (Daddy's birthday) we leave again for camping at Kayak Point with Chris and Cass! Kayak Point is in Stanwood on Camano Island. I have heard through mouth it's a great place to go so we are looking forward to another camping adventure!
  • August 3rd Madi turns 2!!

Dev has just cracked the fresh new gallon of apple juice and all my pitchers are packed...time for some creative problem solving.

Yay! Isn't moving so much fun?! Can't wait to see your camping pics, I'm looking for new places to camp.

We used to camp on Orcas when we were younger and there was some pottery place we would go and spin something on a pottery wheel and then glaze it and take it home. Aww memories...
