A. Soccer highlights. I love watching my Husband coach. He has a passion for this game and it shows in his players. They feed off his enjoyment and excitement. He is always trying to come up with fresh ways to build skills through fun. It's amazing because the kids listen with intent and the same heart for the game. He is also so fortunate to have awesome assistant coaches. Coach Dave (on Nana's team) is so organized and enthusiastic. Coach Dao is a soccer player/lover too so his passion shows and he gets the kids so amped to play!
Dev is into it so much more this year but he has his moments. Seeing 5 year olds when you're already the shortest on the team can be a bit intimidating. He usually rises above it in the end but it's still a bit of a team effort (me, Coach Dao and Grandpa Eddie-Coach Daddy is too busy) to build his confidence up to be aggressive and go for it! When he's in...he loves it and scores goals (when he's not thinking of how large they are versus him). Thank you, Coach Dao for encouraging Dev!!
B. Then, we headed home for a play date with Tyler. I had some Mother's Day preparations to do for the following day, Isa had 2 school projects to prep for and Daddy had to work. So, I took them home to have some lunch and play in the sun. The kids aren't big eaters when they're playing so I usually throw some fruit, veggie chips, turkey and bagels onto a plate so they can just snack back and forth.
My son riding his bike!! He loves riding it whenever we can. One of my favorite times of the year when the kids can get out of the house and ride their bikes. I got Tyler on a trike and he loved it!! Camie, if you're reading this you should get him a bike for his birthday he did really well!!
C. Mother's Day! In the morning, we went to Grandpa Wade's and Grandma Kim's for brunch. I brought strawberries and kiwi (my favorite), yogurt and granola for the kids and artichoke jalapeno dip with garlic and green onion pita chips (YUM!). Grandma Kim made all her favorites too; cinnamon rolls, homemade raisin bran muffins, quiches (from Metropolitan Market), her famous deviled eggs and sausage/ham. It was delicious.
Miss Madi. Isa fixed her hair for me which is a task in itself. I was appreciative of her taking over that task for me on Mother's Day. Madi was cheesing for the camera.
After that we went to my Mom's house to celebrate with my Grandma and Mom. My Dad BBQed and we played more outside. My Mom made my most favorite bundt cake with strawberries and icecream for my birthday/Mother's Day. YUM. Very relaxing day. My pictures turned out too dark at my Mom's house. Which always happens...I always get the lighting settings backwards. Anyway, Daddy had a game that night so we hung out until his game then went home to wrap up our weekend.

ummm.. I fully threw up peace signs until I was about 12 (that would be old enough to realize how dorky it was) in EVERY single picture. Isa, if that means anything then at least we're in this together.
Did we miss your birthday? Happy Birthday! I am so jealous of your kid's skin tone! They are all so adorable!
@raquel: the peace signs, really? at least i know it'll end. :)
