We had to be at meet up with them at 3:30pm so they could head out for the their long drive. I thought I had everything until Isa exclaims "flashlights!!" and of course, ours was no where to be found at literally the last minute. Denise was over and she suggested that I ask Heidi (our friend who lives one street over) so thank goodness, Heidi had one! We rushed over, grabbed it and we dropped her off with her GS buds.
She was totally fine. She said "bye, Momma" and was ready for me to go. I wanted her to pull away and head on the road before I left the parking lot and I wanted to hug her a little longer but she was ready for me to leave. She was so excited and was non stop excitedly jabbering away with her fellow scouts. So, I left with teary eyes (I hid them from her because it would freak her out to see me upset). I gave her chaperon some favorite cds for Isa (Hannah Montana Movie Soundtrack and Mamma Mia! Soundtrack-her chaperon already had Twilight) for the road and kissed her good-bye. I should be used to this by now but it never gets easier.
The Girls Scouts gang. These girls go to school together, Girls Scouts together and play soccer together so they are tight group. The parents are close as well. I have little ones so I don't get to chat with them as often as I should/like to but we are lucky to have a great bunch of supportive families. Kristy and Robyn are wonderful and truly care about each and every girl that is so comforting on trips like this.
Pictures provided by Nikki N. (thank you, Nikki!!). Thank you to all our family and friends who contributed to both girls' cookie sales this would not be possible with out you all!!! Stay tuned for Nana's Cookie Reward on 06/08 at Build A Bear!!
