At it again...

Last year, I decided that I wanted to be more involved. When Isa was in 2nd Grade and Nana was in Kindergarten it was a bit harder for me to be at the school helping because well, I had an infant. So, at the end of last year I signed up to be the Chess Club Coordinator and the Teacher Luncheon Coordinator + the Room Parent Chair. All fairly easy behind the scenes tasks. What I didn't anticipate was Madi's age that I would be taking this on...Toddler. Hello?! Need I say more? Before it would take a minute before any would realize I had a baby on my back now she's screaming to get down so they can hear us coming from the parking lot.

The girls' school is great about families and younger siblings so we never have had an issue. I probably drive the librarian crazy because the library is the first room as we walk in with Madi screaming on my back but I think I might have even won her over with the Teacher Luncheon's this year. :)

Here's an example of the spread we give our teachers. I thought I posted about this before but according to my archive I have not. We try to theme our Luncheons and we do it every other month for our Teachers. Each class is assigned a month and we start from 6th-Kindergarten just because towards the end of the year the 6th Graders and their parents have their hands full with graduation and all. I highly recommend it for your teachers at your school. It's a great way to say "thanks" and they love it. They have all said they look forward to it. On the months that I help set up and clean up, Denise watches my little ones (I'm lucky to have her to do that for me) so I don't have to chase Madi around or try to keep Dev entertained.

This month's theme was Breakfast. We did on site Waffles, Swedish Pancakes, Eggs, bacon/sausage, Casseroles, Fruit, Scones, Muffins, Cinnamon Rolls, etc. All were a hit!

Pink Panthers are back!!! Spring Soccer is here. We are so excited but a bit booked over the next 8 weeks. The girls play for 8 weeks and all during the week. Isa plays Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nana plays Mondays and Wednesdays lastly Dev plays (starting May 2nd) on Saturdays + Husband still plays on his indoor team and softball then is main coach for 2 teams and assistant to Isa's team. Busy. But we love soccer and so excited that it has started again!
The team in Spring is smaller than Fall. The girls get more playing time and it's 5 on 5 instead of 7 on the field at a time. This is the core group of girls that did all of the tournaments and played together in the Fall. Sophie (on upper right) played with the Pink Panthers K-1st then Isa took her place in 2nd Grade and now she's back on the team! Sophie is a close friend and we're happy she's back!!

My girl in my Chair. My Chair that I received for Christmas from the L4 is a perfect gift. I have to say though that my kids sit in it more than I do. :)
If I haven't sent you a schedule and you'd like one, please email me.

WOW! That is quite a spread you do for the teachers.
That is so nice of you guys, teachers are so underappreciated!
