Spring Finally!!

It finally is starting to feel like Spring around here! Finally. The weekend showed peaks of sun which was great. The kids were feeling yucky (at least the little ones) on Saturday but it passed and the rest of the weekend went well and got to have some fun!

Isa (like her new haircut?!) had Sophie over while Nana was at a sleepover. We were trying to make those Birds Nests but I thought marshmallows would be more fun than chocolate. Oops. Not a good idea because it turns into sticky madness. So, we had a blob of gooey stuff instead of Bird's Nests. Dev and Tyler came over to laugh at how it was stickin' to everything!!! PS Dev and Tyler always take their pants off and run around in their undies at my house. Don't know why? But they do.

The next day we decided to go to the zoo. Daddy had to work and so we headed out for some Zoo fun at Woodland Park. We started from the North side and rode the Carousel first instead of our usual West side start with the Flamingos and birds. Mr. Dev does not ride Carousels any more he announced because he will get sick. Dramatic is what he is. So, he watched while Sophie and Isa had a blast on it!

Isa, Sophie and Dev on the bear.

The big girls havin' a blast!!

All of the animals were OUT! The Siamong Monkeys saw my banana I was eating and jumped up to the window! It scared my kids and the rest of the adults standing near by because it just flung himself to the window! That was pretty neat.

Sloth Bear (the kids ♥ed it) they compared him to Daddy. Dev said "he must work hard because he sleeps hard like Daddy does."

I finally let Tiny out of the Ergo and let her play at the Zoomazium. I save this for last so we can play (wear 'em out even more), go potty and change Madi's diaper before we leave. I usually park on the West side for this reason.

Happy Madi!

So, like I said I always save this for last. The preschool area and the infant area are right next to each other so I can watch Dev and Madi at the same time. I told Isa and Sophie I was going to take Dev and Madi potty then we would head out. Dev went one more time down the slide and we went to go get Madi. He was standing at the gate while I grabbed her. She was running from me and the Ergo carrier. Dev must've not been able to see me I was 2 feet away bent over getting Madi and he thought I left. When I turned around, he was gone. I grabbed Isa and Sophie and said check the bathrooms I'm going outside towards the gate. Sure enough, he had ran to the gate thinking I had left him which is right next to the Zoomazium. Why he would think I would ever leave him is beyond me?! He said "I didn't see you" and asked the workers (as he put it) at the zoo where I was!!! My heart and body ached for all of the 5 minutes that he was apart of me. Thinking the worst, hoping for the best and mad that he ran out. He was so upset when I saw him because every where we go he is always worried that I'm going to leave him. Cries every time he can't get his shoes on before I do afraid that he'll be left behind. It was the longest 5 minutes of my life.
