My (north end) Twilighter girlfriends and I went to Borders Friday night for the release party for Twilight. I'm not even ashamed that I was surrounded by millions of teenies who love Twilight as much as I do. Not a bit. Why? I really enjoyed this book. It was much different than what I normally read. I usually (or at least lately) read hard core historical literature. I was introduced to Twilight by my girlfriend, Denise as noted in my previous entry. Fell in love with the series and was so excited for the DVD release.
The Twilight Release Party. We took quizzes, watched a video from the cast and did Movie Awards for "best" scene, line, funniest moment, etc. It was fun but they were not as amped as we wanted every one to be. Where's the screaming excitement? There were a few dressed up and that was so neat to see. One tween was dressed as Alice and won a raffle prize, we were so happy for her.
Tita and I in front of the video playing from the cast members.
Denise and I in front of the same video with Edward in our background. We ♥ him. Tita is a Jacob fan (hence her Team Jacob shirt) but none the less we still love her. Thanks to the girls for hanging and for a fun night out! We had fun even if others weren't as lively as we were! We love Twilight and although I haven't read her next book outside of the series Host, I look forward to what comes next for this series. [I'm too chicken it won't meet my high Twilight expectations.]

My third graders are watching it. One of my third graders on her 8th birthday last year which was April 3, had a sleepover with all of her girl classmates and they watched last years horror film April Fool's Day.
